That's like complaining every game should be on at 3 PM on Saturday - its not like that any more! TV matters and Yeovil (edit its bloody Exeter) need the money I imagine, Scouse reds can enjoy the replay

TV company's don't give a **** about how far fans have to travel and whether or not they can get home after it. It should absolutely be a consideration when scheduling theses things.

People can pick and chose which games to see live, anyway why squeeze out SW reds with Liverpool based supporters?

I can't see why it has to be on a Friday, it's a laughable time of day to watch a match. You're effectively competing with the migration of pissed up party revellers.

Still it does give the opportunity for Liverpool supporters in south to grab a casual ticket.

Yeah it's a stupid time, no trains back, no flights, people who want to go will likely have to take a day off work as if it doesn't cost enough anyway!

They'll be lucky, the allocation there is tiny. A few will end up with touts, the rest passed between friends who have to get the credit even if they cant go otherwise they'll drop off the ladder for future rounds/years.

It's depressing how they dont give a **** about supporters, these, sky, bt, none of them give a ****, just got to look at the Monday games, Palace at Everton, Bournemouth at us, us at Arsenal, Sunderland at Palace, Newcastle at West Ham etc. What a joke. You cant make the schedule perfect for everyone but they should do more to help.

You do make a good case Chris.

Of course every top flight club has fans all over the country, but I do think that more should be done for the local fans as they are the lifeblood of the club. If Liverpool became ****e and dropped to the third tier, we all know that fans from all over the country / world would make less effort to make it to games.

More should be done to keep the local fans onside. I can't see why Sky etc cant't take into account the distance away fans have to travel from the local area and place the match accordingly. It seems a really simple win that would appeal to everyone.
                        Forwards.......

Equally, if you are an Exeter fan, finishing work on a Friday, getting a few beers then going along to the match which is being broadcast live on a Friday night will be an amazing event for them. It's the fairytale scenario (magic of the cup TM) for the little club.
                          Modifying post.

Good to see the media reporting how ****ed off people are over this anyway, not that it'll make much difference!

Cant find anything on the BBC though.
