Those TWO are exactly the reason we're going to score zero goals tomorrow sadly.
    One tit for another.

Remember Firmino against City? Clearly has talent but needs to find consistency and whilst Benteke there are question marks over how he fits into the side one thing he has the potential to do is stick the ball in the net.

Have we played well at home under Klopp yet? We need to develop a wahy of playing at home that is just as difficult as our non-Newcastle/Sion away form.

I'd be inclined to play front players who can hold up and a midfield that is prepared to join late. Or maybe just the normal 11, running around furiously.

Home form does seem to be a bit of an issue, we could do with a lively Anfield crowd getting behind them as I suspect the moans and groans when playing at home isn't helping although it's down in part to the players to get the crowd excited and behind them.

Strange league this year and really difficult to predict where we or anyone else will finish

Hopefully being able to get to 3 points off the Mancs in 4th tomorrow fires us up to win this and win it well

Firmino was outstanding, but it was his first and only game where he played like a 10m+ player. The next two games against parked buses showed exactly why him, Benteke and to a lesser extent Ibe are like having no player on the pitch.

They are not players to break down 2 walls of defences I'm afraid.

This has become an important game given Utds result. If we can stay within touching distance going into the new year it's going to be a fun second half of the season. Klopp will go **** or bust I think.

Need Firmino, Coutinho and Lallana against packed defences.
                  Was muß, das muß.

Early goal would be good as they'd need to open up a bit

Indeed. And it's not strikers who break down rigid rows of four, it's the midfield, and that's where we win or lose games. With Can and Coutinho in there we can create chances, with Allen and Milner in there we won't.

Not always, depends on your strikers.

But agree that Can and Coutinho create more than Joey and Jimmy.

Midfield is important but we win games by scoring goals. We rarely controlled games in midfield in 2013/14 but we scored lots of goals and won games. In fact, our midfield in 2013/14 was poor
                            Another MASSIVE game

                              Benteke starts up top.

I agree with the post that we need to score early in these games. Means teams have to open up.

Otherwise it could be another slow uninspiring home game.

Hopefully Benteke isn't left isolated as has always been the case so far. Every time he's played he seems to be the only one in the box when a cross comes in & only one there when we boot a ball upfield.
                                Forwards.......
