In all honesty, we are just a team of decent to good players & lack that exceptional quality. I think most of our players are decent, but you need that star quality to be consistent and we don't have that anywhere.

I don't think we need to get rid of loads of players, we just need to add some real quality in key areas and fit the rest in around them. Our problem since Rafa left is we have pretty much sold decent players and replaced them with decent players, we get the odd top performer & it's generally not been enough.

Past years we've lost Alonso, Mascherano, Torres, Reina, Carragher, Suarez, Gerrard. All but one of those are from the Rafa era which was how long back? We regularly finish around 6th-8th other than one season which we all know now was a fluke.
    Forwards.......

We missed Lovren and Mignolet today, that's how bad we were.

I mean before they became famous! No one knew Lew from a hole in the ground when he joined Dortmund.

100% agree, hit the nail on the head there.

To my beloved Liverpool, from Australia, in my native greek tongue, I send you my appreciation after that match.

As poor as this group of individual players is, are they really worse than Watford or WBA or are they superior?

This is not simply a really bad bunch of players, its just a really bad mix and a complete lack of balance thanks to Brendan and a board who either don't know enough about the game or are concentrating on stats ahead of the real game of football when identifying targets.

Klopp needs to jump in at the January transfer window, I know he said he won't, but he really does to need act asap.

                      Leicester next, that'll be fun.
Brandt - Keita - Van Dijk - Sessegnon

It will, we'll batter them then drop points v Sunderland.

Put Watford in Liverpool shirts & they wouldn't be where they are. Same for Leicester, Palace, West Ham etc. expectation levels are radically different and there's far more pressure.

In addition to that, teams set up completely different to when they play LFC whom are still considered a top side and a big scalp despite regularly finishing between 6-8 in the league.

Watford played like an FA Cup third round League One side in terms of attitude but they have better players than Northampton Town.

We have invested too much money on players with notable deficiencies in their game. Injuries have made it worse. We have purchased three number 10's all of whom lack pace and have goal allergy. In addition we have another number 10 out on loan. For the amount of money spent, the composition of our squad is all wrong. Our midfield doesn't provide enough defensive cover but do not compensate that through their attacking prowess.
