Where to start? At the back or the front? Or in the middle?

At the back clearly Bodgan has blown his chance and because the team are so brittle that effectively blew the game. Add in Skrtel in la-la land, a Sakho clearly rushed back because of Lovren's injury and it was never likely to be an easy game. Then throw in
routine passes going wayward, players not seeing each other almost and no focal point up front due to lack of movement but also that the whole nature of the game changed so quickly. Suddenly instead of the L.F.C we needed Origi and Ibe and yes maybe even Benteke to hold up the ball or make quick runs in the channels.

Wanted - Keeper, CB (Joël Matip) CM (Marko Grujic) and a striker.

At least two of them have to be bought in January for the rest of this season if only so they are integrated fully by the start of next season.

It seams this season is about pace, power and directness.

Watford, Crystal Palace and Leicester all benefiting from this.

We'd have lost that game under Brendan.

We're really lacking in quality. No desire from the players.

Klopp's got a huge job ahead. Feel sorry for him - probably regretting taking the Liverpool job.
                Another MASSIVE game

                  too long

I've been crying out for a ****ing hard centre mid who can cover ground quickly and put a foot in since mascherano left

We are a team of pussies...say it all the time, any team that get at us can just bully us and take us apart

We need to focus in building a spine....find a top class keeper, centre half, centre mid, striker.

I do believe there are good enough players in the squad to be a good side but we lack that quality spine so badly

Thanks FSG for keeping the clown on end of last season. £61 million for Benteke and Firmino FFS

The only positive which is a massive stretch to see it as one is it isn't only us!

The league is full of highly overpaid prima donnas that turn up when they want to. If you manage to harness a little team spirit, fill the team with hungry players who will run their arses off for the cause and have a bit of ability you can make progress up the table and upset the big boys. I think I'm changing my mind from saying this league is poor but instead to say its refreshing. I hope Leicester and the rest continue to prosper. Would love to see what the owners of the big teams would make of missing out on the champions league. Probably go and buy all the other players. This league needs a shake up.

Also I'm not sure klopp will work unless he brings in young hungry players. Too much money is killing it all. It's been there to see for years.

Disgraceful performance. My worry at the start of the match was that the front 3 of Firmino, Lallana and Coutinho go missing too often, the first 2 were anonymous and I'm amazed they stayed on as long as they did. I would drop both for a while to be honest. Origi offered much more when he came on and for the 30 mins or so after that we were much better, we just don't have goals in the side, in all honesty we never looked like scoring. Also we need to learn to stay onside, at least 10 times we were caught offside

Defensively we were awful, Bogdan made numerous mistakes, Skrtel was poor, and Sakho went crazy as well. Moreno was constantly caught out of position leaving us exposed down that side. I thought Lucas did quite well when he slotted into the back 4.

The team as a whole don't look like a team there is little link up play or movement and we are playing the wrong passes. We are doing the simple things wrong.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Kloppo needs time to rebuild this squad because we are short in a couple of key positions. Mignolet and bogdan are both rubbish, and skrtel is a joke. We need a new goalkeeper and a centre back to play to shore up this team in January. If that's all we get I'm happy with that.

In attack firmino, lallana and Coutinho are too similar and one of those needs binning for a someone with more threat from deep positions.

We seem unable to handle physical teams who do the basics well yet are more equipped to play footballing teams because we are the ones who take the more physical approach.

We also need another forward because origi is too young and benteke isn't good enough. There's going to be some major surgery to the first team in the summer.

Embarrassing. Most of those players are just not good enough, I'm sure Klopp realises now that he's got a huge task ahead.

How bad was that? Shocking performance. Terrible, error-ridden at the back. Slow, ponderous in midfield. Poor, no spark upfront apart from Origi.
