I agree in the main, but it depends doesn't it. If we need a better gk, even a stopgap, there has to be one at a European club we could get. Doesn't have to be a world class gk but one who does the basics.

If we wanted a physical midfielder or forward, I don't think we need to be buying the long term option, but someone like ighalo who played today. Someone young and hungry who can make an impact now and be a good squad member next year.

Maybe I'm oversimplifying it, admittedly, but we need a steady ship, and that's easier to buy for than the long terms superstar option.

Do who are Leicester's or Arsenal's strong athletic midfield players?

I think if we got a new goalie, a couple of new centre backs, a full back that can cover both left and right, a proper defensive midfielder, a couple of wide players and a striker that can score and stay fit, then we might be an okay team. It would be a start anyway.

        I am only half joking.

Only ****in Liverpool could spend 32.5m on a ****in striker and then realise that he doesnt fit into the way we play. If benteke cant get in the ****in team when sturridge and ings are out injured, then he should be looking to try and do a robbie keane and **** right off after 6 months. And Origi was brought on before him as well.

This ****in thing will take another 200m before we are looking okay....

And Klopp obviously isnt under pressure because he is new and it isnt his squad. But a grand total of one point against Newcastle, WBA and Watford is ****e. No two ways about it.

A loss to Leicester next week and that is another league season written off.

We've all been cracking our holes at chelsea this season....but they will be above us before too long.

Oh and by the way, Lallana was a bag of ****in **** once again. The guy is a ****in joke

That was Rodgers all over though, we could all see that coming with Benteke, there were alot of doubts on here about the ability of Benteke to fit into our style of play. As I posted earlier there since Rafa left we have bought £427m of players and probably only a quarter of it has been well spent. On paper our squad looks decent but again I think that the players we are missing are the ones that should make the spine of the team. If you put a couple of players such as Carragher, Hyypia, Alonso, Mascherano, Gerrard etc who could organise things and dictate play into this side I think it would be a decent side. The problem with most of our players at the moment is they are the peripheral players who with the right spine could be good players and form a good side, but without are headless / mindless.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

            Kante is very physical

It's not just physicality though it's pace that I think is as important as anything

If you don't have pace you have to move the ball quickly

We don't have enough physicality we don't have enough pace and we are still mired in the slow build up passing game that Rodgers advocated

I think it's very interesting that we have targeted Grujic that says a lot to me

I think Klopp knows what is needed

I haven't seen a lot of Leicester so thanks for the insight

I think Grujic would be a great addition but I have my reservations about putting so much pressure on a 19 year old.

I'd love to see Watford or West Brom vs Barcelona.

Lets give them a 2 goal lead too.

Just a disappointing performance today lots of negatives. Sounds horrible that we only picked up 1 point from a possible 9! How different the table would have looked if we hadn't messed up out last 3 games. Lots of missed, stray, overhit & long passes today. Lots of running into defending players. Even Coutinho couldn't wriggle away too much.

Obviously would have been a different game had we not been 2 goals down soooo early! We had no space to play into and were too slow doing it anyway. Hate games like this!

First time in months I've got up in the middle of the night to watch us live and I'm subjected to that. **** me Liverpool you don't half make it hard for us sometimes. Major changes required again. Dismal, when the basic ingredient is ****ing bollocks to get in and fight

Kante is f*cking awesome. Was surprised to see how good he was in the 3 matches I've seen so far. He's like a smaller, nippier Lucas on speed. Doesn't panic in possession, won't make unnecessary fouls but knows when to stick the foot in and nick the ball away.

All awesome players seem to be in opposition teams. Such a bad place right now.

a dreadful last three league games. I thought the team was wrong for Newcastle but on paper it seemed right yesterday, bearing in mind injuries. But there was no confidence on the ball- was the pitch really dreadful or just our first touch? - and it was quickly obvious that we needed a kick and rush approach and team. So I was a bit surprised how long it took to make the first change, how long it took to get Benteke on and how long it took to play 2 upfront.

I think the WBA game he got the wrong tactics. They basically had 2 banks of 4 that were very hard to break down. It is only when he brought on Ibe and Origi and had them wide that we started to create things....

All successful teams have one way of playing. They don't chop and change that much. For me, that is our biggest problem. The signings over the last 2 seasons have been ****in terrible. We have got ourselves into a position from needing 2 or 3 players to effectively needing a new spine of a team.

For me, Xabi Alonso would be the best signing that Klopp could make right now. A player that will make his team mates better and also help dictate the pace of the game. If that means that it disrupts Emre Can's development (although i think it would actually help it in the long run) then so be it.

We need pace and aggression in the middle of the pitch. Lost count of how many times we've got out fought in the midfield, it's the most powderpuff midfield I can remember in a long time.

We lack height in our team & I think a tall, strong & dominant DM would be an ideal signing. Problem is finding one who can play a bit as well.
