We probably just need a fit Sturridge and Countinho and it changes the whole dynamics of the team.

Phil was rusty after his recent injury and so was Sakho.

Before the game I was happy to see Can Lucas and Henderson in the middle of the park but the three of them as a unit were all over the place.

Same as the front three again played like strangers. Bad day at the office for the front six.

We lack height in our team & I think a tall, strong & dominant DM would be an ideal signing. Problem is finding one who can play a bit as well.

Well Hendo and Can are quite big guys but neither are really dominant or have that mean streak ala Masch.

Personally I think we are too nicey nicey, especially in the midfield and that's why we get out fought and out battled in that area. Our pressing is great when it works but that's all too rare. For me I do think we desperately lack pace in that midfield and wide areas, as well as that aggression. None of Milner, Can, Lallana, Firmino, Coutinho, Allen & Lucas are really quick. Hendo is quick long distance, Ibe is the only one with genuine pace & he is an inexperienced youngster.

The team hasn't had a proper balance to it in years IMO.

Also, I guess this needs to be addressed asap too, but our set-pieces are ****e for a collection of international class players.

I mean rarely do I feel like we're going to put a good ball in the middle. You get the feeling it's whoevers closest to the ball taking the set piece and not a desginated player.

It's not just delivery, it's having someone who makes that ball his own in the box. Miss Stevie on that near post though.

shocking standard of crossing in the wide areas & our set pieces and corners are laughable.... have been for a while now.

We've ****ed up our chances of a top 4 with this result.

On paper and based on form, we should have beaten Newcastle, WBA and Watford. We'd be in 3rd right now...

It's crazy the sides we've dropped points against:

Lost 3-0 at home to West Ham
Lost 2-1 at home to Palace
Drew 1-1 at home to Norwich
Drew 1-1 at home to Southampton
Drew 2-2 at home to West Brom

Lost 2-0 away at Newcastle
Lost 3-0 away at Watford

IMO we should have got about 15 points from those games, we actually got 3

That's depressing.

Watched football focus & Sterling was on. Was questioned on City result v us and he said it wasn't a surprise the way we started as LFC always give that extra effort against the big boys and turn it on.

Not really surprising, to be honest I think we all knew that but interesting to hear a (former) player say it. It seems to be a mentality problem that we have had for years regardless of the players who have been at the club.

The other thing that we need to get into the players mentality is that wins against City and Chelsea are meaningless if you then fail to beat the likes of Newcastle and Watford.

I would not have one Watford player in our team before this season, Their manager has got them playing like a team , very compact and direct with two strikers giving a lot of defenders problems in the Premier.

How did Watford manage to close us down so quickly when we had three in the middle of the park/

It is hard for any defence to play against two up top as they seemed to isolate our centre backs a lot and it clearly looked like Sakho was not match fit for this game. with our two full backs pushing on this was the game for Lucas to drop and cut off supply ?

Another howler by a keeper and that didn't help us with out start. Time to bite the bullet and get the Defence right with a keeper and centre back. Surely Jurgen knows some players who want to come and be part of the Kloppolution.
