yeah he's getting well paid and isn't contributing to the team. Feel sorry for him but not doing us any favours either and it's getting farcical alright.

I fear so too but if the medical guys were to suggest something like that (I have no idea if they would) but given our current circumstances it would probably be worth considering. What do you do with someone like Sturridge? Given how good he is and the lack of quality of our other strikers we have to do all we can to get him fit and playing, because he is that good. His injury record means if we were to sell him we wouldn't get much for him, but we can't rely on him week in week out. It's catch-22
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

If Sturridge is fit to play, then play him. We can't not play him just in case he gets injured.

We've tried everything with him, his issues were supposed to have been solved in the summer, the club leaked that they were confident it was sorted. It wasn't. Klopp is on record saying this is the last thing they can try so if he's happy he's had long enough in his mini pre season then get him in the team, build up his minutes game by game and play him until he breaks again. Hopefully he doesn't but as we've seen, whatever minutes we can get he's still head and shoulders the best player in our squad.

I don't buy that now, a few years ago it would have been a genuine cash-flow
balance sheet issue but not these days, he cost 12.5 million his value has already been largely written down through the books. The only thing to consider is wages, I have no idea about the law in cases like this but a club really ought to have the scope to cut the wages of players who are medium-long term injured while they are not training or playing.

Play him in the cups only.

                Definitely.

TBH, I wouldn't play any of the ****ers that started the game the other day as none of them bar Sakho, and that's at a stretch deserve to wear the jersey. Harsh? Possibly but if I was Klopp I wouldn't trust a single one of them cunts to put on any kind of performance as they're incapable of doing so.

The season to me is done for, I wish I could say we'd beat Stoke but I don't have any confidence that we will. Give the shirt to the youngsters and see what they can do between now and the end of the season as I'm sick of these ****ers.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

You know, after yesterdays dismal display (and Newcastle and Watford away) I was thinking exactly the same. He should be telling the majority of our first team that they are an absolute disgrace, with those performances and that some of the youngsters are going to be getting a run. F*ck them all.

I'd drop Benteke, a lumbering oaf, at put in Jerome Sinclair. He wont do any worse and would definitely offer more up top for us.

We have a world class coach, and a load of utter dross from Bodgers.

Get the cheque book out Tom !
                  El Kloppo !!
"As a player I had fifth division skills and a first division brain. The result was a second division footballer"

"How could I justify picking up my pay cheque if I stand here and say the tie is over? It would be just as stupid as saying we're going to walk all over them [in the second leg]. I can always supply silly answers to silly questions...... Yes, the tie is over, but we have to play them anyway."

Had some decent league cup days there with that and the 0-8. Proper **** that the rules have changed regarding away allocations though and we just got the normal away end instead of the whole stand. Cunts.

and we went on to win the cup both times. whoever has doing the scoreboard for the 8-0 game lost count and added on an extra goal. 16 years ago now

The "law" is what is specified in his contract so it may or may not say he earns less if he's not fit to play. More likely (IMO) is that his wage is fixed whether he plays or not but that he will receive additional money for appearances.

Smart clubs will load up the appearance side, smart agents will try to load the basic side. However his wages are structured currently, LFC (or whoever his next club is) will clearly be looking to put the onus on to the appearance column when it comes to discussing his next contract if his injury woes continue.

The form Stoke are in, they are just the team we usually destroy. Specially after Klopp's angry/silent treatment. I expect Klopp has finally figured out he can trust no one, and to do the one thing that was a last resort - bring out the Studge.

                                I expect:

                                Mignolet
                                Clyne Lovren Sakho Smith
                                Henderson Can
                                Lallana Coutinho Firmino
                                Sturridge

(maybe, just maybe we might even see Randall for Clyne)
                                One tit for another.
