when you look at Stokes team, as in their first 11, and i would make them favourites right now. Shaquiri Bojan and Arnoutivic all look to be in very good form. Whereas we look like we can't score in a brothel.....

After Brendans first season at LFC, it almost looked like LFCs transfer strategy was to give young talented players that were discarded by other big clubs a second chance and hopefully capture their peak years. Coutinho and Sturridge certainly fell into that category. And maybe that was the intention of the Moses loan signing as well. Well Stoke City seem to be the best around with that strategy right now. Shaquiri Bojan and Affeley (give him time and he could be very good) are examples of players that have changed the way Stoke play (from a dog**** Tony Pulis shower of cunts to an actual team that are still aggressive but good to watch - probably a less talented version of Klopps model for what he wants LFC to be). These players will more than likely leave Stoke, but Stoke will have a lot of cash for them to go and do it again.

Our ****in transfer policy has been such a kick in the bollox. Shaquiri and Bojan combined have cost less than any of Markovic, Balotelli, Lallana, Firmino, Benteke.....

I see Sam is complaining about fixtures:

"With having three away games in succession, we've got around 2,000 miles of travel and the lunchtime kick-off means we've less than three days recovery for Tottenham."

I think Liverpool are playing four away games in succession, of which the last game of 2015 and the first game of 2016, then Stoke now and Exeter on Friday. It's getting a bit much IMO.
        * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Klopp: We can't dwell on past

Jürgen Klopp insists that there is no time for self-pity for his side following a disappointing result on the weekend ahead of tonight’s semi-final clash against Stoke City in the Capital One Cup.

Saturday’s 2-0 defeat to West Ham United in the Barclays Premier League halted the momentum gathered from a succession of wins against Leicester City and Sunderland over the festive period.

However the German is asking his men to not dwell on the past and focus on the first leg encounter at the Brittania Stadium.

“We have a few more injuries and so it is not the best moment for us but we have to think about everything to do with Stoke,” Klopp told the Liverpool Echo.

“If you think about problems in your own life too much then they rarely get better. You need help from outside and that is what I try to do for the boys.

“I try to give them the right information and the right advice on how we can change things. That’s what I am responsible for and what I always try to do.

“We have still to find our way. Everyone can see we find it sometimes but there is not the consistency we need.

“There are a lot of simple explanations but it is our situation and we have to take the next game and try to do our best.”

The 48-year-old is also wary at the lack of goals his side are scoring and Klopp admits that there is plenty for his players to work on if they are to improve their scoring tally.

He added: "First of all, sorry. The mother of all goals is the opportunities, the chances, so we have to have them and then you have to use them.

“We need to be more concentrated, be more greedy, be more disciplined, be more everything.

“There are a lot of goals scored from set-pieces in the Premier League, not only against us in all the games, we had situations when we’ve been in a position to score in these situations so we have to do this more often.

“We are often in situations where we can score goals and we don’t use them. You need confidence, you need to run, we made goals in several games, six against Southampton and things like this, so we know where the goal is, that is the good thing.

“But we have things to work on. We have big problems with injuries with the strikers so we have to work, it’s not dreamland. We know the numbers and it’s not good but we can do better.”
What do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins

                Tues 5th Jan 8pm

The games are coming thick and fast and despite spending £200 million our squad looks threadbare.

Time to blood a few youngsters in what has to be the least of our priorities, despite being a cup semi?

May as well, the first team look knackered.
Couldn't agree less with these sentiments.

Liverpool have won one trophy since winning the FA Cup in 2006. A miserable one piece of silverware in 9 seasons.

This is easily our best chance of winning a trophy this season given how inconsistent the team continues to be despite the arrival of Klopp. With the way we're playing in the league a top 4 place is simply not going to happen.

That makes tonight's game the most important of this season so far imo.

                Come on you Reds!

Completely agree, fitness permitting it's strongest possible side out tonight and if needs be some younger players on Friday v Exeter.

We're one good result away from Wembley

Hope that's just a precaution - he won't play Exeter game I imagine so that'll be a week off.

Sakho missed training yesterday so must be an injury.
