He misplaces passes sometimes but as a false nine today he's been very good.

Firmino just isn't a blood and thunder type player, i remember people moaned about Lucas not being a true 'Brazilian type skillful' player, now we have such a player, and one trying to settle in at that, we're moaning because he doesn't tackle enough.

He looks, to me, as a player that is best on the break, head up, through the middle, with runners.

I thought Firmino played well. His shooting is horrible at times, but his movement is excellent and he looks deceptively powerful. I think his shooting will improve soon, he seems to be adapting to the pace and physicality of the league now.

I was thinking that. I thought he was great tonight but he was sort of 'nearly'. Great movement and then a slightly heavy touch, creates space but then slightly pulled the shot. If he was playing darts then he'd have been bouncing of the metal next to treble 20 all night.

Still, he's showing enough to encourage unlike ****ing Benteke who can't possibly be that bad! Surely?

absolutely.

I'm hoping that once he scores a few he'll show us what he can do. He's doing the graft and is getting into the positions that movement makes happen.... those are great and he did work hard.

Unfortunately his touch, passing and shooting, all of which you would expect to be standard class for a Brazilian attacking player, have been ****e. He really does seem to avoid the oul tackles though
