13 players is a fairly unprecedented injury list though, it's moot how previous managers would have acted in similar scenarios, in all honesty, if we were in the same position I don't see what else anyone could do? It's great that we have a manager the fans are right behind. He's beginning to unite the club and (most of) the fans. It's crucial.

No but top 4 gets you into the CL, the FA Cup doesn't. Plus we need to be focused on learning how to sustain a winning streak over a 38 game league. If we give up and just go for cups then that's all you'll be, a good cup side.

Definitely not, we have players to come back and hopefully our fitness is better than everyone else's in the 2nd half of the season.

Another way to look at it could be 3 points off if we beat them at home .. if we beat them by 2 clear goals the goal difference is just 4 with over a half of the season to play and our main goal scorers yet to find form whilst they on the other hand are firing on all cylinders

We played on Tuesday and they expect us to play again today after the schedule we've just had. Even without the injuries he's absolutely right giving the senior lads a break ahead of the two league games we have coming up. Wins in them ignites the league season again and despite being ****e we are still within reach of the money places. Fact is with the little recovery time between games and with how we play we've been dropping like flies in every game and that would likely happen again if we played the senior lads tonight. As for another game if we draw, I reckon we can do it without the million or so quid it will bring and we could definitely do without another bloody midweek game to squeeze in.

Play the kids, see what happens. Win the league cup, try win the Europa league, try get top 4.

No way, not a replay, we are stretched beyond the limit, adding to the 13 injured players, fairly long term most of them, 2 weeks plus, we have unfit players all over the place and Arsenal and United coming up over the next 8 days. Just send out the kids, that's the only sensible thing to do IMO.

It'll be very difficult and it's very unlikely but I'd like to think we'll still give it a go, we are in a semi-final and we are in the Europa, I won't be terribly upset if we lose tonight, although I'm not certain we will. Imagine the chance these young players are getting tonight, they have to step up, they can't hide behind the seniors because they aren't playing, we'll find out a lot about some of these players tonight.
