And that still brings us back to what I have been saying and it has nothing to do with trying to paint Karius as a quality keeper as what Isaid about him is that he would be a decent back up to have . If we move on Karius and Mignolet, we are left badly short of cover. We would be left with 19 yo Grabara as our back up should Alisson need a rest or get injured.
Grabara's competitive experience consists of pretty much under age games.
So we would be in a position of needing to bring in a new number two keeper and for that to make any sense it would need to be a keeper that is better than Karius or Mignolet.
So in my mind it would be stupid to move Karius and Mignolet on, unless we had a pretty good keeper already lined up to be the new number two. Which brings us back to the problem, how many keepers that are better than Karius or Mignolet would be happy to come and just be our number two?
Hence me saying I do not care about the whether or not Karis and/or Mignolet need to go elsewhere to rebuild their careers. What matter for us is that we have a back up keeper of a certain level, and if we do no have a new back up keeper of that level coming in, then we keep at least one of the two we have (Karius being better than Mignolet for me) until we are in a position to bring in that good back up keeper.
I really don't see much difference between Mig and Karius. Karius got the advantage of having a sustained run in the side with a solid, settled defence. I would rather keep Mig as back up and loan Karius out. I won't lose any sleep if it is the other way around as Karius stays and Mig goes.

In short, they are both ****.
Karius is the only one who cost us winning the Champions League?

I concur but in fairness Karius is better at releasing the ball quicker (ignoring the CL catastrophe) but they are on a similar subpar level with little (IMO) room for improvement.
My point is, keep Karius build him up a little as he's on much lower wages than Mignolet and maybe even a shorter contract. The club will be all over this IMO and if we've a buyer for Mignolet Edwards himself will probably drive him to the contract.
Just brought myself round to watching the CL final again and when Karius gets taken out by Ramos, there’s quite a distinctive painful scream from Karius.
I think most of the highlights of that incident have a voiceover but if you hear the original there’s quite excrciating yell.

He was 100% concussed imo
What kind of fanny gets elbowed in the face and doesn't confront the player who did it and instead whinges at the ref? Sell.

I mentioned straight after the game that there is a disturbing lack of canera angles of the incident. Considering 30 odd cameras are employed at the game and there's probably one constantly on the goalie, why has no footage been available at all, except for a grainy shot from the half way line? It's all shady bollocks
Very little was said about it at the time, commentators on the game didn't really mention it. I can't believe the ref didn't at least have a word with Ramos. I can only assume the officials didn’t see it. If only we'do had VAR
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

its like checking the cameras trying to find the shooter in the book depository.

This gives an idea of what camera angles were available

None of them would have given a good view of the incident, and with it happening away from the ball, I doubt there is a clear view available.
