We still have Klopp and he'll be ****ing fuming about tonight's second half performance... which can only be a good thing.
I'm clinging to that trail of thought.

However, it was a massive game; the promise of Champions League football to potential new recruits, the cash, the first trophy ... we've fluffed it.

Special mention to Coutinho. What a absolutely dire performance from him.

That ref is a disgrace too. Three clear handballs in the box, not one given. Foul after foul called against us, **** all for them.
Oh I say his vision there was lovely

        Decent summary that mate.

Then they need ****ing off. No one playing for Liverpool should let the occasion of a final get the better of them. What that now 3 finals on the trot we have lost.

I heard on the TV3 coverage that Moreno was high-fiving Seville players at HT

Pretty much sums it all up for me. Esp as we also get a player booked who doesn't even play. I bet John Henry is glad Linda didn't get sent off.

Personally, I think we need a top quality Hendo replacement as a priority.
I think I mentioned it in the Zielinski thread, I think we'll sell Henderson to finance a quality central midfielder like Neves. Look at Alonso when we signed him. He was a playmaker who also had exceptional positioning on the pitch when we defended, which made up for his pace.

                      Bollocks.
Why bother responding to him, Mudds?

How we can show so much fight against Dortmund, the second leg against Villarreal, pull Chelsea and City apart, stick six past Southampton and Villa and then not even turn up tonight for our biggest game in however many years I'll never know.

Terrible referee. Moreno was a shambles. Our midfield overrun, our forward line isolated and such a lack of fight.

I think it's going out with a whimper which hurts the most. I can stomach losing if we try but I can't stomach a lack of effort.

It's hard to argue that we wern't in full control in the first half. We kept Sevilla from chances and created some ourselves. We just (again) didn't finish the game when we had the chance and so we find ourselves in this ****ty situation now. Second half was just one big cluster**** on our part and nothing outside of Toure worked in that half.

Disappointing and a shame we couldn't get a positive ending to the season.

The problem with our team is we have too many players who only contribute when they are playing well, when they aren't playing well they are annonymous
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

On that performance tonight I would sell Coutinho if we manage to get Gotze in. Absolute zero impact in our biggest game of the season.

Gutted. Should have had two or three pens in the first half. Would have been done and dusted. Moreno gifted them their first and we totally collapsed. Shocking. No spine, no midfield. Moreno cannot be back next season, obviously. But there needs to be a complete overhaul. We need leadership in midfield, someone who can grab hold of the ball and use it. I think Klopp thinks that is Can, but I'm not sure.
