The problem with that is City's fixtures:

I know they're not in top form at the moment, but that's a pretty easy finish.

Yeah, Palace fighting for relegation the coming weekend is likely the last hope of them dropping points...

They look likely to win them all and ultimately it could come down to GD where we have a +1 advantage at the moment.

Can't remember where I saw it but some of the possible teams (based on their current position) were not that inviting. Could be worse though, imagine we had to play teams from Latvia, Faroes etc - we'd have no chance!

the ideal is us finishing third, and either city or arsenal making 4th to ensure manure dont make the CL.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

True. And you could argue we look likely to win all of ours too We don't seem to be able to win easily, to build up GD, at the moment though.

I think mentality-wise we're better off mentally focusing on trying to finish top 3 rather than looking down the table. Less nervous that way.

Three matches left, all very winnable. Pick them off one at a time.

isnt it seeded though? not that means anything, Barca or Real Madrid will probably get done for some irregularity and have to play in the qualifiers next season

I think City are more vulnerable to those fixtures that if they were to be away from home, they've only won half of their games at home and Leicester and Palace are both counter attacking teams that could cause them problems.

The smaller clubs get one pot don't they so some of them can qualify and the bigger leagues have to play each other .

Porto beat Roma & Monaco beat Villarreal to qualify so chances are we could get Sevilla, Dortmund/Hoffenheim or Lazio (based on current standings).....

Arsenal have to go to Stoke...a place they tend not to do well at.
Since 1982 Arsenal have won once in the league there.
Oh triffic......so while you're up the road jollying it up, it's touch your toes time for Rodney

I fancy Palace to take points from City this weekend. They've beaten us, Chelsea and West Brom away in the last couple months, not to mention thrashing the Arse at home.

I think Leicester have had the beating of them recently, and Palace is no gimme.

It will be interesting, but if I were a betting man I'd say we are more likely to get 4th than 3rd.

Win our 3 remaining games and 3rd is nailed on IMO.

                            Big ask obviously.

Leicester and Palace will cause them major problems, I actually think Leicester will do them. They are rejuvenated and in fine form and they have some quality players, they will want to finish the season strongly and City are vulnerable, they have slugs in defence and they will be under enormous pressure because quite frankly, considering the money they have spent and where they are now is embarrassing from their point of view.

Fully expect Leicester or Palace to **** them over.
