All Keepers make mistakes but Mig seems to make them at key moments and they always lead to dropped points. I can't believe any supporter defends him. The depressing thing is we never seem to be in the market for an upgrade.

Agree with what you posted earlier he's not at fault for all three goals but consistently he's at fault for most of our points. Yup, we've taken 4 points in both games against Arsenal so not all bad. We had by far the best chances and we can only get better!

We should never have let Xhaka shoot at goal in the first place. He was allowed far too much time, irrespective of Mignolet's mistake. He didn't cost us the three points.

I thought we defended excellently on the whole but again, as a team, we were guilty of switching off for 5 mins and got too deep and lost control. Certainly the central defenders were excellent bar Gomez's lack of concentration but we should never have let Arsenal back in the game in the first place.

I was thinking how easy Gomez and Robertson were finding, and making, this game. The CBs handled Lacazette well. The system was perfect yet again but two brain farts and we give a near dead donkey hope of life.

The sad thing is I can see Lovren or Klavan doing something similar but now not 5-10 games down the line.

Anyway, important mentality to not lose. If we lost we could have ended up 8th by Saturday evening. Now we are guaranteed to stay 4th. Swansea next.

Carragher and Neville spot on, slow the game down be cynical if you have to. Pretend you're injured do whatever it takes. We're amazing to watch but we have zero composure, need some big characters in that team especially at the back. I don't think we can underestimate how important Keita will be and VVD if we sign him. Add a decent keeper and we will be far better.

It wasn't a brain fart really. Just after we scored the second we backed off and allowed Arsenal the run of the pitch and they scored straight away and the momentum was back on their side. Had we closed the game for 10 mins after our second the match would have been won.
