Must of watched the highlights over 500 times these last 30 years. Never been a player who glided so gracefully as John Barnes. His free kicks were beautiful. Loved that team. It's 25 years since I left school. That's ****ing insane.

I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Also no phones being held aloft in the crowd and hardly any team shirts on.

I wonder why that was, lack of availability/affordability of adult shirts? You could obviously get kits for kids (I was 13 back then) in the 80's - remember these sets?

But I have no knowledge of what the situation was for adult kit back then? Maybe the entire adult wearing a football kit was rightly fromned upon.

Also I suppose wearing football kit out and about in the 80's as an adult was likely to lead to a solid kicking at some point.

Craig Johnstone running up and down that right wing like a maniac is the reason I'm a red supporter. Most Aussie reds of my generation would probalby say the same.

I remember watching that game. It wasn't that unusual to see us play like that at the time! My god I feel old though.
                      Really?

Arguably the greatest exhibition of football this club has ever displayed

What an amazing game. We could have easily been in double figures. The shorts were very short in those days.
