The great thing is even with lots of deficiencies in performance we still walked away with a 2-0 win, against a team who don’t lose many at home and look well organised under Roy.

Bodes well for challenges ahead.

First average game I’ve seen from Robbo in months.

Agree on the forward line, currently lacking the fluency of last season.

If we can get a couple of goals up on Sat it would be good to see the likes of Shaqiri and Sturridge given a bit more time. I imagine the guys on the bench are desperate to show what they can do.

Yep winning when not at our best does bode well. Not too long ago when you were a little off the boil we would be picking up draws or losses.


Our front trio are a little rusty looking as well at the moment yet have managed 4 goals and 3 assists between them in our opening two games, not to mention one of our back up attackers in Sturridge also having got a goal.


If we get a little bit of luck regarding injuries this season, I think we will be hitting beast mode sooner rather than later with this team, and we have the potential to bring in some extra quality in January for the second half of the season.


Expectations are higher this season, and rightly so, but I reckon we have the quality to have a very good stab at meeting those expectations.

Still can't believe a tightly drilled, compact Palace side can be managed by Woy 'Owly McOwl Face' Hodgson... he's an awful coach, manager and pathetic whiner. Him, Maureen, Fat Sam and Warnock are all Manager ****tards.

Would love Palace to nick points against some of the top 6 - they looked decent if a bit blunt up front.

Would love Maureen to get booted by Xmas and Fat Sam comes riding in on his Big Mac and Large Fries to the rescue... to save them from relegation...just.

we had a few nervy moments at the back, a couple of crosses that fizzed across the goal area and luckily there was none of their players coming in to get on the end of it but it still made me clench a little.

Taking that role in midfield, moving the ball around quickly, getting into space, and keeping things going. He just caught my eye as soon as he came on, because of the way he controlled the midfield.

Happy to report that Palace fans have about as much love for big **** Chris as we do. I almost felt embarrassed for the lad
