Lack of creativity and that link in midfield to forwards has been a huge issue for us. Shaq has looked to do it when he's got a chance but he's been in and out. It really needs to be addressed.

A few observations:

1) Gomez right back...please never again. Absolutely no threat going forward.
2) why doesn’t VVD get on the end of any attacking set pieces. Isn’t it a known fact that he can leap higher than most , if not all players?
3) Salah needs to start getting the basics right and then try and get back to his best
4) Firmino should have stayed on the pitch. We lost our way once the triad is broken.

I think klopp is missing buvac. Without him it's feels a bit Keegan. Great passion, sometimes great football but ultimately out thought tactically on a regular basis. I hope I'm wrong.

I think klopp is missing buvac. Without him it's feels a bit Keegan. Great passion, sometimes great football but ultimately out thought tactically on a regular basis. I hope I'm wrong.

I think we are actually trying to be too tactical at times in the CL this season. Last season we surprised a lot of teams by going at them with a high intensity approach that saw a lot of teams caught on the hop.

This season in the CL we seem to be a lot more cautious and by the numbers when playing away and it seems to be allowing other teams more time to organise and/or hit us on the break.


Having said that, the more restrained approach seems to be paying off big time in points in the EPL so maybe we are coming unstuck this season away in the CL due to two of our three away games simply being against two very good home teams who were very up for playing against us.

I said that a few times now but since he left Roma first leg is the only time we blew a team away without him.
