That first touch from big Divock is absolute filth

Pre-season matches often disappoint, but last nigh'ts was great.

Going into it, wanted Brewster and Origi to score and they both duly obliged. Both players could have big season's ahead of them if they remain injury free.

Hoever was every bit as good as the hype, in fact probably better.

Larouci and Lewis both played well at LB, which is obviously a problem area for us.

Jones took his goal well and showed some nice touches and could well benefit from the spotlight being off him.

Duncan does what he does best, putting the ball in the back of the net, although it was disappointing for Glatzel to go off injured.

Kent and Wilson both showed flashed and was a good assist for Wilson.

Senior players performed well too, Milner was immense and Fabinho picked up right where he left off. Ox wasn't as involved as others, but he came through unscathed which is the important thing. Lallana bossed it as the tough tackling DM in the first half.

And as I mentioned above, I thought Woodburn looked good too and would probably be getting a bit more attention if he was still the new kid on the block.

All in all a good night's work.

Hoever looks incredible. Looks very comfortable at RB so he should get games there as well as CB. He's really quick and also really skilful. Wow.

First time I'd Brewster play. Didn't realise he was such a good all around player. He actually reminds me of a young Sturridge.

I think the other fringe player who just looks ready is Wilson. If he's happy to be a squad player I'd keep him rather than loaning him out.
