    Woodburn fouled for a pen

It was a good game. Everything looks very promising.

And it's always nice to be able to watch a game in the evening with a drink instead of at breakfast!

My thoughts on our young/ fringe players today

Kent & Wilson did very well & didn’t look out of place at all. Keep both & start playing them.
Larouchi did well generally but totally at fault for their 3rd goal
Adam Lewis looks the goods playing in LM despite him being played in defense in the 23’s. Keep as back up.
Woodburn doesn’t have the mongrel for the fight to me & another loan looks obvious.
Brewster showed confidence in taking the penalty & that says a lot about him imo.
Curtis Jones slots in easily but he needs to start scoring a few goals to kick on imo. It’d give his confidence a lift.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Klopps spot on in his post match comments. You can't and shouldn't read anything into that game because it was impossible to play it at any sort of pace that resembles professional football. The ball just simply wouldn't roll more than a few feet and it ****ed with both sets of players as they couldn't weight passes or dribble with it easily.

Apparently that stadium wasn't even full. I'm not sure why the club plays on pitches like that in pre season. Even considering the business reasons it's not worth it for the players practice.

Would be better to play at a proper football stadium even if it has a smaller capacity.

I doubt Dortmund hold much appeal over there so no surprises the ground wasn't full IMO.

I doubt soccer holds much appeal in that particular town.
                    Oh I don't know.

On the beeb it says ticket prices ranged from $50 - 600 plus a further $60 to park

On that basis 40,000 for a US friendly sounds pretty impressive.

The pricing is a joke. Surely Dortmund have gained a following there with that American lad who's gone to Chelsea

I imagine we get paid the megabucks to play there and the promoter tries to make his money from there.

This says that the highest attendance for a football match in the state was just under 42k and the attendance last night wasn't far off that. I guess we were hoping to get more people interested in the area but it doesn't seem to have worked that well

Any idea why Larouchi is playing at LB ahead of Lewis, alot of the talk on here has been that Lewis could be the one to provide cover for Robertson, if that were the case wouldn't we be expecting him to be playing LB in these games?

The commentators have said they are trying to teach Larouchi the defensive side of the game as his attacking side is quite good apparently. I’m not sure that Larouchi is ahead of Lewis but yeah the both seemed to be playing out of their natural positions. Maybe Jürgens just trying them out.
