That was weird as ****. Over celebrating. Time wasting to hold on at the end and I think all 20 + players we used got assaulted multiple times. What a strange little club they are.
And that ref was ****ing useless. If he hadn’t let everything go first half that might not have happened in the end.Comment

Always sucks to lose a game, and it was a bit of nothing game all told, and the only real talking point is **** house approach of Sevilla and that 'tackle'.
"But we should have had a free kick (in a meaningless pre-seaon friendly)" as his explicit explanation/attempted justification for assaulting an 18 year old.
It occasionally happens at the top level when players fail to handle the pressure of a big game or something, and it's still nuts then, but to do it in a game like that shows a genuine screw loose. Or, it shows that he has been told to be violent by his manager and he's gone too far.

Milner not happy with the tackling in the game.
Saying the ref wouldn’t be expecting that sort of approach from Sevilla. Don’t think I’ve ever seen a red card in a friendly.
Some decent performances from the younger players. Phillips in the first half, Larouchi before he was assaulted, some nice touches from Jones and a couple of decent runs from Kent.Modifying post.Comment
