Thats right, a big fat ZERO. The season hasnt started yet and certain folk are already throthing at the mouth becuase Gonzo has been average in the friendlys.
A quick show of hands here. Based on Bellamys 2 in 3 up to now, who thinks that he will get 25+ goals in the prem this year? i dont. You can only judge a player on competetive games imho and upto now we have NO right just yet to throw **** at a player who is still learning to adapt to new team-mates and has not yet played a "proper" game for us. If he turns out a pile of dog **** by May 2007 then we ALL have a right to say he was a terrible signing and Ryan was ****ing right, but all things considered, if he does turn out to be a donkey what did we pay for him (2-4m?). Its not a vast fortune to lose on a player who has promise but doesnt deliver. At least we wont pay 10m for a diouf, 6m for a diao, 5m for ZZ II and the list goes on and on.
I dont see a problem just yet so we really should just leave him be for at least a season then judge imo.

And before the usual supsects say "6m for spanish Erik", he was a proven top class footballer before we got him. Its life, players can adapt some cant. Arsenil payed a shed load for Reyes and he was turd(17m?). UTD paid 30m for Veron, he was turd. We havnt gone out under Rafa and paid anymore than 6m on a flop. That should tell us all one thing for the time being, he knows more than we do in the transfer market.

Before Gonzalez ever pulled on the liverpool shirt i said people will calll him a flop i think the expectation around this lad is far too high. GIve him a chance to bed into a new league,different language, differnet culture and way of life and the weather over here. What did you want him to do come off the bench and score a hattrick? GIve him time and he will prove you wrong
