Speedy needs time. It's a new league, different pace of game, new team, and new tactics. It's all pre-season. I think judgement should be reserved until after his first 15-20 games. I think some people will be pleasantly surprised when he does kick into top gear. The boy has undoubted talent.

Only a fool would start a thread like this slating a Liverpool player before he's even kicked a competitive fcuking ball for the club.Originally posted by Red_PoloOnly a fool would believe all the hype that's built up over the last 6 months or so, but that doesn't mean he's the new Smicer.

speedy doesnt look too convincing in the 2 friendlies so far, but its too early to tell if he is going to be a flop. in rafa we trust"In fact I’m going to make a promise which will be welcomed by many. if you consider Josemi and Nunez to have been world beaters then you really do have no idea Ryan.Originally posted by RyanFernando Morientes
Josemi
Antonio Nunez.
World beaters in La Liga.
Nunez NEVER played a game for Madrid 1st's, Josemi wasn't overly impressive either for Malaga. How can you even compare them to Gonzalez?
Morientes was already slightly past it aswell. He hadn't had a good season in la liga for 2 years, and he didn't really light it up in france either (apart from the champions league). His signing was exciting because we all new what he could do....but i certainly had reservations."When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah

its like Koptalk when the purges start...until then, this is a much nicer place to be thanks..Originally posted by murder_inchey bRyan, not like you to be negative about a new signing.
Jesus, its getting more and more like kraptalk by the day.
in reply to Ryan, its still early days yet...12 games for Albacete and 1 game for us is not an adequate gauge of his ability.
besides,you predicted this,Ryan...
he's been hyped to glory so the knives will be out unless he had a blinder..which he most unfortunately did not have.

Is that exactly what you wanted to say Rob?Originally posted by robmccrearyI love the way he's tugs the line [/I]

As for the original post, well, probably just best to ignore it, as the poster clearly is either just trying to "provoke a intelligent debate", yeah whatever, or is one of them knee jerker types, which in a way sort of leads back to your post Rob.

Well saidOriginally posted by DCHHey it's a liverpool forum...
let's not bash people who we don't agree with.
Gonzales didn't look all too fit so let's give him time.. I do hope he becomes what we thought harry would be for us.

The one game that I purposely sat and watched Gonzalez in was the Chile v Eire a few months back.
He certainly looked comfortable against what is for all purposes a Prem type opposition, in fact he was
probably close MOM. Give the guy a chance to settle with his new team, especially when Stevie, Xabi
etc are back around him help with the process. Not a penny more Fat Dunk.

Was that the same game in which Richard bloody Dunne gave him a 5 yard headstart down the wing, caught him, brushed him aside, and meandered away with the ball?
