14 days to the start of the season. We have a great team and strong squad. One of the top four. However, I'm not sure that the current first team midfield (Fabinho, Henderson, Thiago) has the energy or stamina to push for the title. Keita, Ox and Jones could all come good (stay injury free and play at a consistently high level) but I'm not convinced.
I know the usual few will be quick to poo poo the above. It's not meant as a negative post or a criticism of the team/players/Klopp/FSG. Just trying to look at things objectively (based on the high intensity press that Klopp demands from his midfield).
I think we will finish second. But it is vital we sign a midfielder to replace Gini. None of our midfielsers were consistentlu fit last season, ans seceral have had fitness issues stretching back years. Not replacing Lovren bit us in the arse last year. I am sure we will sign someone before the season starts. Never a fan of late signings that miss preseason. Klopp's system needs bedding into.
If everyone stats fit, there is no reason why we cannot finish top, or at least run City close.
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

19/20 you wanted to replace 2 of our 3 midfielders, so have faith.
Personally I can't wait to see Fab, Henderson and Thiago have a run of games together.
And of course Naby.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
You're all forgetting that we're actually having a decent pre-season. Have you seen the pre-season disarray other clubs are in as well as all the players missing because of the Euros and Copa America?

I'm sure we'll get a few more players in, well I hope so anyways. In regards to the squad though, history has told us that Keita, Ox and Matip are going to be injured alot throughout the season, most likely Thiago & Hendo too so we do need quality reinforcements. Also, considering how Klopp likes to bed players in, any new signings won't be starting the season & it's going to take awhile for VVD and Gomez to get back to 100%. The Euros & Copa have slowed things up in the market unfortunately and we usually have to sell to buy so there's that. Let's see what happens in the next few weeks anyways. But yeah champions? I'm not so sure this season.
Our first 11 is as good as anyone, if they can stay fit we can be challenging for the title. I just feel that there are alot of question marks. Obviously we don't know how Konate will settle and there are questions over VVD, Gomez and Matip, will they be fit? Will they get back to the level they were at? Can they do so quickly? Can they play 2 games a week?
I feel we probably need a couple of signings still or we need someone to step up big time and make a contribution none of us are expecting.
Tsimikas is still unproven due to his lack of game time, Naby and Ox still have to prove themselves at the club. How is Henderson's fitness? Can Jones push on? Can Elliott step up? If two or more of Origi, Shaqiri and Minamino go who provides cover. What happens in January when the Africa Cup of Nations is on?
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
