Those three draws really stick in the craw and I can't get away from how they evoke the same feelings in me as those draws in 08/09 under Rafa that probably ultimately cost us. Annoying as ****.

Couldn’t agree more. It’s bad enough if we play badly & deserve it but it’s a damn sight worse when we’re robbed.

Ha. Not throwing in the towel - only 3 behind after all and I still think we're the best team in the league. Just think we're so good it's very hard to accept dropped points ...especially against ****ing Brentford and Brighton.

We seem to be dealing with adversity reasonably well this season. The Afcon is a nightmare for sure. That said I think this season will go to the wire, and perversely improving Spurs, Arsenal and maybe Utd may well be beneficial for us.

Season over. We needed a lead to defend. Draws with Brentford, Brighton and Spurs are the difference.

100% agree, very frustrating reading some of the defeatist posts on here, only half way through the season and we’re within 1 result of top spot ffs

It always felt inevitable, also seems likely that our players will test positive for Covid on the way back and have to isolate or government will change rules or some other ****, meaning their return to playing for us will be further delayed

Will those players going count to the covid/injured players for postponement of games?

knowing the league they will dismiss these are related to being unable to field a team due to covid & **** over again

It might just be me, but I never, ever throw in the towel.

Same as last season when loads of people gave up in our chase for forth and we ended up finishing third.

Nah. Look at Chelsea. Seven games or so ago they were getting called uncatchable in some quarters. Been a 7 to 9 points swing in the difference in points won between them and us in that time.

If City get a couple draws and we grind out a few tough 1 nils at the same time, then suddenly the narrative will be how hard Liverpool are to catch.

Fully expect there to be a bit more changing of 1st position in the coming month or two and for Chelsea to tighten up the gap on us and City for a spell.

Did laugh as well at Sky recently saying that City are uncatchable as they are the only team in the top three with the experience of knowing what it is like to be in a title race and the only one of the three that know how to win the title. Was like 2019/20 had been erased from the records or the title race we gave city the season before had not happened either.

2019/20 was null & void according to most people, the Asterix season.......... whilst they all ignore the fact that we went 29 games unbeaten before Covid !!!

If we can negotiate January with dropping to many more behind City we will be there or thereabouts in May.

Don't forget that Ol jug ears is coming home again this year also

Said it near the start of this season that I felt this season and next season we are going to win the title and the CL again. Just not sure which one in which season.
