17% possession is apparently the second lowest since OPTA began recording stats 20 years ago!

I think it's the joint lowest - Swansea also only managed 17% against Man City in 2018

Fortunately, Jürgen Klopp had a contingency. In case of emergency: break glass for Divock Origi

Personally I think it would be a shame if Everton went down... I'm an old fart, and have seen them when they were good (ok, maybe to strong a description... I'm not that old!) but it brings a kind of symmetry to Liverpool. I'm not from round there, but been a fan since 77, and my sister lives in Anfield area currently, and has at least one Evertonian friend...
Personally I both love and hate the derbys, as they tend to bring out the worst in both clubs, but they are exciting

Think it’s fair to say it’s a shame that they’re ****, if that’s your opinion- but given how **** they’ve been all season, and how **** the club has been run, they deserve to go down, and I would say the opposite- that it would be a shame if they luck out, and manage to stay up.

I think it’s refreshing to see a team in a relegation battle, who at the start of the season, no one would have picked as a team who could go down- it’s good for the sport, to see new teams fighting at the top and the bottom of the league.

I’ve no problem with the parking the bus- it’s annoying but fair play, is up to us to break it down. The time wasting was taking the piss- every ****in kickout took an age. Don’t even blame Pickford, much as I hope he catches the clap after his antics- but I blame the ref for it, and in general how time wasting is dealt with in the league… if the game had finished 0-0 and he kept doing it for the whole game, he’d have picked up a booking in the 94th minute, very annoying. Could see what he was doing after 5/10 minutes, the ref shoulda had a word.. then book him the next time he does it, around 20 min into the game… and then playing 2 min was an insult. Should have played 7 min in the first half, let them know he wasn’t overlooking their time wasting..

The other thing that I thought was really bad is richarlison feigning head injuries… the rule where play is stopped for head injuries is a great rule, introduced for player welfare, due to how serious and time critical a head injury can be. The last thing we want is to have players crying wolf, and using this rule as a loophole to waste time. I’d have liked the pundits to call him out for it. Fabinho grazed his chin and he goes down holding his head and the play is stopped… then 10 min later he goes down again, supposedly as a result of heading the ball and again play is stopped to assess him… if ya have cunts abusing this rule, to waste time, then sooner or later, a genuine emergency wont be taken seriously.

On his booking for diving: "I don't think it's a booking. I felt contact so I went down. I can see why he didn't give a penalty but it wasn't a yellow card for me."
“I felt contact so I went down”, that’s the definition of a dive in football. The fact that he ‘decides’ to go down. He did the same with Matip, waited for contact then went down.

                    It’s cheating.

He really needs to be called out on it. He went down with head injuries 5 times. I don't know if the ref has the power to do this but I would have said that if he is going down that often in pain the ref should have said there is a suspected concussion he needs to be taken off and examined properly.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

And the ref did ignore the last one, as if he knew exactly what was going on

Agree about the head injuries. Think he should be retrospectively punished for it, but that would be too much of a political minefield. PGMOL should call him out on it though, highlighting that it makes the refs job more difficult and potentially puts other players at risk if refs stop making calls.

Even that time when his leg was potentially hurt, he still held his head to try and force the ref to stop. Absolute scum.

Was a brutal match to watch, but love how we always seem to find a solution to everything teams throw at us.

And what a set of balls Klopp has bringing on Big Div. Man is a genius.

And credit to Origi for his performances this year. He used to look rusty when he came on, which was understandable due to lack of game time, but this season he not only slots in seamlessly, he often improves a world class side. Let's hope he finishes his career here on an ulmighty high.
