As I said, he does the job he’s asked to do, but he’s not going to challenge for Jota’s place. Him being sold is far more likely than that.

I think people are getting a bit carried away with Taki. Great goal last night and a tidy performance, but there’s a reason for him being in the second string. Although vital, 70% of his goals have been in the domestic cups, against relatively poor sides. He got a good PL run with Southampton and he wasn’t very good. Not everyone in a squad can be a word beater and he’s good enough to do what he’s used for, but the idea of him pushing on to compete for first team slots is probably fanciful.

I thought Minamino did more on the ball than Jota. If he can keep finding the net there's no reason why Jota may not find himself being pushed back. That's the sort of competition we need.

Just try and represent the situation as it stands without letting your own opinions get in the way.

That seems like a perfectly honest commentary from Drury to the scenario - that the title race is onto the last day. Rather than "aaahhh - 1-1".

I must be in the minority here, but I don't find either Tyler or Carragher overly annoying. Ok, it's obvious Tyler isn't a fan of us, and Carra tries so hard to be impartial that he tends to go to the negative, but at least they talk about the game and what is happening on the pitch. There are other commentators out there that annoy me more, cos of their supposed "expert analysis". McManananmana and Savage are 2 that annoy me most, they don't seem to ever be commentating on the same game that I am watching.
