Interesting Origi didnt start instead though.

I think Minamino might stay too. He will play in the cups. I can see us playing reserves in both cups next year.
I think that him starting over Origi is an indication that he is the more likely of the two to stay (although it could be that Klopp is going to let Origi have a big Anfield send off at the weekend).

I think the most outrage for a decision in our favour this season was the penalty on Jota at Crystal Palace. It was the type that regularly get given, at worst a debatable 50/50, and not even decisive in terms of the score line.

Nowhere near as contentious as the numerous City examples.

Losing the title by a point in 2019 was rough, I can take some solace from thinking that they deserved it and we were just unlucky. But if we were to lose by a point after the league have apologised to Everton for that decision would make it even more difficult to take. I am really hoping that the Universe dishes out some justice at the weekend and we come away with the title.

Gerrard, Coutinho and Ings over to you...
The same 2 (Manchester) ref and VAR officials who didn’t give us the blatant penalty on Jota in the 2-2 at Spurs, and sent of Robbo, but let Kane away with a 2 footed over the ball.

Then there was the armpit ‘handball’ they got a penalty for to beat Wolves 1-0 earlier in the season.

I’m like a broken record with this stuff, but it does my head in. I honestly don’t mind losing if it’s fair and square, but this stuff is bull****.

First 25 mins, he was quite poor and dispossessed a couple of times (not necessarily his fault BTW), but after that he was very good and grew as the game progressed. I find that quite encouraging though, that he didn't let his head drop, as he did similar against Villa.

His passing stats were quite good, most passes in final 3rd, 92 or 93% accuracy. Less surprising, most successful take ons, 4 from 4.

Just a shame he got that eye unhurt when he did, as I'm sure he would have kicked on more this season with more opportunities

We should 100% keep him if he's happy to stay. His goals per mins ratio is ridiculous. Ideal squad player if he's up for continuing.

    As many goals as Richarlison.
