I know what you mean alright but for me it feels like that he is the type of player that even when he isn't in top form, then his workrate still makes him integral to the team. As opposed to the like of Oxlade who, when on form was brilliant but when off it was not.

*Recently found my father's refugee card. Landed in the UK Christmas Eve 1956. He was 15. Had to leave his mum and dad. Arrived with men a lot older than him. Couldn't speak English. Poor education. Left due to the Russian invasion of Hungary. He didn't see/speak to his mum until he was 40 years old (turned up at her doorstep in Hungary - first time back). Hadn't kept in contact because he was fearful of the Russians. History repeating itself with Ukraine

Your dad sounds like a ledge and that is some seriously interesting family history you have there man.

I was thinking we were looking a bit tighter at the back. It might be this.

Fatigue is never discussed when we watch matches, but it is the reason the big teams win games late on. Being 5-10% fitter than the opposition forces late chances and goals.

Dom is a ****ing monster in this respect.

Imo he wasn't great in the first half but his work rate seemed to increase as the match went on. Fella is an absolute beast. Great finish too.

Not sure what to say other than respect for your 15 year old Dad for making a go of it
