Apples for oranges. Firmino was facilitating a 20+ goal forward and a 30+ goal forward either side of him, whilst also hitting double figures himself.

The profile of the attack is different now, with a greater distribution of big chances now going to the No.9. So if that’s going to work, he needs to up his conversion.

To be fair I cannot defend the rest of the forum!

I like him Harv, he had way more output in 23 mins than Gakpo had in 70, hrs involved and things happen around him. But…… he misses too many big chances and so far it’s not hurting the team that much. He needs to increase his conversion rate, that’s what I expect of a Liverpool no 9

Somehow with all of these abysmal performances we are second in the League. Best GD in the League and 4 points ahead of City.

    And we can get better.

So if he took the No 10 shirt, would that make him more of a fit? He has pace, he can lay on assists, he can beat a man with the ball...all attributes that Mane had in abundance and he was a fantastic no 10 in my opinion.

Personally, I absolutely loved that performance last night. It showed a different side to us. It was a tough away match. A hostile crowd. And we didn’t really offer them a sniff. We defended multiple high balls into the box. We dug in. It wasn’t pretty at all so you can highlight individual errors that had to be covered by other players. But the collective was very strong. The team won. The ethic and work rate was bang on a great performance for me with absolutely no bad performances I wasn’t sure we had a win like that in us that we need to blow teams away and if they play well we will outscore them. For me that performance showed we could be contenders this season. I hope to see more of them,

Salah was shocking. Going to be interesting to see a full strength side without him when he ****s off to play out of his skin for Egypt again. Elliotts time to shine me thinks.

Diaz's form is seriously worrying. He's been ****e all season. Cant dribble around anyone anymore like Salah. He's completely lost his acceleration and top speed since that ****ing cunt at Arsenal did a hatchet job on him.

Let's all focus on Nunez's every touch though. He's the problem obviously.

Yeah I agree Joe had some very ropey moments & could have cost us some goals.

It’ll be interesting to see who Jurgen plays in Mo’s position when he’s away. Harvey, Diaz, Szoboszlai or Doak would all Hein the mix you’d assume.
