Noticed that trent stood and watched an arsenal player go past him and did nothing, then gomez came steaming over and put the block in, around 80mins. He rarely seems arsed to defend...

Gomez was putting out fires everywhere

That was a missed opportunity, they don’t come along that often and we’ve had 2 now in the last 2 league games.

Absolutely criminal to miss that chance in the second half. You cannot have a breakaway where you’re four on one, and not score.

It wasn't 4 on 1 tho to be fair.

        It was 5 on 2.

What a pass, what a finish. Looks easy sometimes.

Good game for the neutral I imagine.

Some really good perfomances in there.

Jones was really good I felt as was TAA.

Konate and VVD were almost faultless.

Gomez did a great job at LB against Saka.

Gakpo was probably our weak link on the day with nothing going right for him.

What is your issue with Trent? It’s really is weird. He put in a great performance yesterday with some unbelievable passes yet this is the thing you decide to comment on?

Gomez was excellent, as he has quietly been for the most part this season, but think you are doing TAA a little bit of a disservice when it comes to yesterday's game.

TAA had far less by way of switched off moments yesterday and was more effective on the ball than I have seen him be in a bit too.

I still think he is a luxury in the centre and often causes the team to be unbalanced, but for me yesterday was not one of those games, quite the opposite.

Thought he linked play well, thought that for the most part he read play well and made a number of non flashy interceptions along with placing himself into the passing channels a good few times that caused Arsenal to change their passages of play.

Throw in that he also contributed with an assist and I think it would be fair to say he was one of the better performers for us.

I swear every team waters their pitch. Instead of diving maybe we should just pretend to slip before we smash into someone or grab at the ball.

Was it David Coote in the VAR-room yesterday?

It's nice to feel all warm and fuzzy about trent doing all the glamorous stuff, but he often seems like doing a bit of defending is almost beneath him!
The bit I referred to was glaring.

The suggestion seems to be that we didn't want to play football on the ground and that we wanted to waterlogged the pitch to stop their football and it wouldn't hurt our 'long ball game' also suggestions that we only watered the half of the pitch they would be attacking, before the match and at half time. Not sure how that is possible before the game as we don't know who would win the toss, also that they didn't have the right boots for such a wet pitch which if true would be their own fault

At half time they had one of those overhead shots of the stadium with the Kop side being shown and the sprinklers were on so that theory from whoever it was is a load of crap

I have to say that I am finding Arsenal fans some of the most snnoying, it seems everytime they drop points or something goes against them it is a conspiracy
