What the **** would the Arsenal fans know. Like any other fans the majority are so fickle and generally pretty clueless when it comes to knowing how a club actually works day to day. If it were up to so many of them they’d have already sacked arteta before he did a good job with them last season.

He did do well enough at PSG which obviously isn’t the hardest job in football but definitely one with maximum pressure and expectation

I don't think the underdog thing is what Emery needs, but he does need to have the whole structure of the club tailored to him. Villa are doing that, Arsenal didn't.

Emery wants to focus on just the coaching. Nothing else. Very different to Klopp, who seemed to take on a lot more over the years. Which might have been his undoing ultimately, if he's burning out.

Edit: per the article Sus posted above.
      Oh I don't know.

Looking through the list and there are loads of people I wouldn't want near the club, Mourinho and Moyes are a ****ing piss take. Loads of people who are surely only linked because of their connection to the club, Benitez, Gerrard, Milner etc

Klopp is the best manager in the world, sadly whoever we get will be a step down

I think FSG will move back toward the more collegiate structure they previously favoured, especially if it's a younger, less experienced manager they roll the dice on.

Can Zidane finally make use of the house he bought by Melwood?

                That list is pretty depressing.

Slot seems a decent manager but i don't ever see a situation where a relatively inexperienced but successful manager goes from manging in the Dutch league to managing Liverpool.

Nagelsmann is far too young to be an international manager.

Nagelsmann and Klopp essentially swap roles after the Euros?

It really feels to me like Xabi has what it takes in terms of personality. I'd be very surprised if "the job was too big for him". He's a serial winner and a very smart man. It always felt like he was going to be a top manager from his playing days.

I'd hope that the club has been succession planning all along, i.e. well before Klopp quit in November.

I also hope that the search for a new manager started in November or early December.

If that is the case, then it is possible that this announcement has been made now, because things elsewhere are moving. Perhaps there was an increased risk of leaks.

If potential new managers are only being contacted from now, I'd be a bit disappointed.
                              Oh I don't know.

                                Let's narrow it down.
