Thanjk you.

I'd hope that the club has been succession planning all along, i.e. well before Klopp quit in November.
I also hope that the search for a new manager started in November or early December.
If that is the case, then it is possible that this announcement has been made now, because things elsewhere are moving. Perhaps there was an increased risk of leaks.
If potential new managers are only being contacted from now, I'd be a bit disappointed.
Very plausible.

Yeah, the club are so good at this sort of thing and have proven it time and again. Working behind the scenes with no leaks whatsoever, etc. There's no way the hunt starts now. My total guess is a lot of work has already taken place, we know our guy, and it could well be more or less done. The club has earned the right to be trusted on this stuff imo.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
Our track record of announcing signings from out of nowhere is also encouraging.
It's easy to construct theories from no evidence though, so I'm just hoping.
Being realistic, there almost no chance that the club haven’t started the recruitment process. There will have been a period while we defined what the parameters will be for the new appointment, then we’ll start tapping up people. With agents involved, it probably isn’t possible to do it under the radar, forcing the announcement. None of that seems like too much of a stretch.
It must have been a hell of a winter behind the scenes. Trying to get the new stand operational, whilst sourcing a new coaching staff is gonna be a touch stressful.
We've been tapping people up to be the next Liverpool Manager and nothing at all has leaked? I could believe that if only 1 person has been tapped up and accepted the position, but have a hard time believing word hasn't got out if several have been in discussions.
Not quite sure on Alonso - Completely different way of playing than Klopp -
In some ways, but Leverkusen do press like we do off the ball.
What is impressive about Alonso is he took over at Leverkusen and very quickly imposed a style of play that was not there before him.
He seems to be able to build a style that gets the most out of the players he has and then is able to drop in new players to further evolve the style.
They may not play just like we do now, but if you look at how Leverkusen play they at times play a bit like how Klopp's CL winning team set up along with more than a bit of how that great Spain team that Xabi was a part of used to work as a ten man unit.
Defensively they set up like us. Higher line a lot of the time. Likes using CBs that have pace and are good on the ball. Likes attacking full backs to bring extra width to the team.
Big leaning towards team over great individuals and going by how often they have ground out results late on this season, he seems to have instilled a never give up mentality into the entire squad.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Didn't realise Xabi had a release clause, allowing him to join his former clubs.
Ancelotti has recently extended his contract with Madrid, so it's a head to head between us and Bayern (if he was to leave). Surely only one winner there with his recent comments about our Club and also as a show of respect to his current club, you'd expect he wouldn't join a direct rival if he didn't have to.
When the Klopp news broke I thought it was wishful thinking or even a bit arrogant thinking the new hottest property in management would come running if we knocked, but all things considered it's by far the most obviously and most likely outcome.
Was already hoping we meet Leverkusen in Dublin, but what a story that could be now. Literally passing the torch in front of millions.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
