Few strong contenders - Finnan, Gerrard, Crouch and Reina
but my MOM tonight....
Mr Steve Finnan.
"Let me say for the record, I am not a gangster and never have been. Im not the thief who grabs your purse. Im not the guy who jacks your car. Im not down with the people who steal and hurt others. Im just a brother who fight back."

Finnan and Carra did very well at the back. It was nice to hear Carra again, he has been quiet this season!
Kuyt and Crouch worked hard upfront.
But I thought Gerrard and Reina were excellent, Stevie was a bit quiet at the start of the second half but overall it was more like the performance you would expect from him.
I am picking Reina though, he seemed a different player from what we have seen so far this season. Hopefully this will see him begin to command the box as well as he did last season.
Sorry he irritates me in front of goal - can be quite profligate. He must also irritate Kuyt as a casual observer.
Kuyt is the only out and out striker at the club and he's playing the withdrawn forward role.
I pray that Bellamy grows in confidence and form, as he is tailor-made to play with Kuyt.
You know I agree with this at the moment, it seems as though Crouchie is either resting on his laurels a bit, or is a bit put out by Kuyt's workrate. Either way, I'd like to see a bit more from Crouch, however I won't be complaining if he scores regularly.
Erm, no - I'm struggling to be honest - it wasn't a great performance. Kuyt was dreadful apart from the one decent pass. Carragher and Agger played well, but I suppose Gerrard just about did enough.

Eeek.
I loved the way he can retain possession. He doesn't have to score goals for me to be impressed by him. (EDIT)unselfish. Dispilined. And ala rush in his pressing play as well.

His touch was ****ing awful tonight - really, really poor. He deserves credit for the pass to Gerrard though.

Disagree, was definitely one of our better players tonight, was quiet before the first goal, but worked hard as always, and was limited with his passing options, because Crouches movement was poor. His pass for Gerrard was great, his header down for Crouch was unselfish, and he had one or two decent shouts at a goal.
