It was all over the papers up here weeks ago that he had agreed to sign for us.Originally posted by Dalglish View PostMcCarthy is going to Celtic.
According to the boy's father
Is he a wonderkid? - No, but he is very talented.
If we miss out on him to Celtic then it's no great loss.

I too would like to see the three lads getting played.Originally posted by SCOUSERTOMMY View Postwouldent sign myself, paul anderson, craig lindfield and jack hobbs should of all made the bench against fulham. steve heighway has a point about rafa
But there is a point to be made about having too many youth team players in the side as three of them did get a run out plus the youth cup final wasnt so long ago, in which Linfield was involved in.
Anderson seems to be paying the price for inconsistent displays this season, has been playing well lately, but I recok its the reason El Zahar is getting in ahead of him. As for Hobbs, I think Rafa was always going to give Paletta the nod ahead of him. Playing the two of them would not have made much sense as neither is experienced and will learn from the other.Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
