Thanjk you.

There is a simple logic. The title race is only over when it is mathematically impossible to win the league.
April 15th 1989 is a day that all football fans should never forget. It was a day when 96 Liverpool fans lost their lives at a football match at Hillsborough. Rest In Peace 96 - You'll Never Walk Alone
Lets see how we play against Arsenal this week - as a guage to our performance and current form. Once we beat the Gunners 3-1 then we can say we are back !
We have played average teams and have looked a bit "average" ourselves in all the games.
It is possible, hypothetically, but relies to much on everyone else falling down, and based on current form, that does not look likely.
This week's Arsenal game is no guide as both teams will likely field weakened teams. being just the Carling Cup.
On your other point, Man U have just chucked away three points. I always feel that these kind of results are likely, but for some inexplicable reason, lots of people on here say with certainty that teams like Man U won't drop points at places like W Ham. They are 100% certain in making these predictions despite the fact that history is littered with teams throwing away good leads at the top of the league.
I was about to suggest the same thing in another thread to you, it's not only this thread you are having a go at posters for having different opinions.
Grow up is aimed at a poster, it was not directed towards the posters opinion, hence it became personal.
By all means have a debate about the opinion, we all have differing opinions and all voices should & must be welcome without being shot down.
:thanks:
Right....
"Why bother Matt. Dunk's lackey has a very simple modus operandi. Post deliberately stupid things in order to fish for as many responses as possible. Sad I know, I'm sure there is a name for that condition, any guesses?"
So 'dunks lackey' isnt personal? 'simple modus operandi' isnt?
Calling me 'stupid' isnt attacking me? How about 'sad'?
If you're going to ask for things of me, ask them of other people too. Otherwise it's just cringeworthily inconsistent.
We played Chelsea off the park, hit the woodwork twice and unluckily lost to a wonder goal
Always seems to happen in the league though.
Correct me if i'm wrong, but in Rafa's time, we've only recorded TWO wins against the other big 3, and that was Arsenal at home last season and also the season before.
So in FIFTEEN league meetings against them three sides, we've won TWICE.
And NEVER against United or Chelsea, since Rafa joined.
We might've had a few close losses, where we've played well - but the correlation is that we've still lost. I doubt it's coincidence.

I never called you stupid, I called your posts stupid. Why is a 'simple modus operandi' insulting? Do you know what that means, I can explain if it would help.
Sorry, I assumed that as it was in a public forum and not in a private message that it was up for discussion. My bad.
It is a public forum. But that doesnt mean that every post is addressed at everybody. People often reply to specific posts from specific people. It's not a new concept.

You lot actually think we can still win the league ?
Sweet Jesus.
I actually agree with you on this however I think Manure will go on a bad run where as Chelski won't, so second spot imo is up for grabs as long as we can keep the good form going

I don't know what your problem is but I'll bet it's hard to pronounce
If the bitters had of held yesterday and with the hammers beating the scum, it would've given us a big auld chunk of hope.I agree with Fredo, 13 point is not impossible to make up with only half the season gone, the thing is though that it's not in our hands, we've just gotta keep winning and hope other teams do us a favour against the chavs and scum
I'll only believe it's not possible WHEN it's mathematically not possible
Good posts both of you. While it seems a daunting task to win it this season, stranger things have happened. I believe we could still win the league, resigning oneself by December is a bit shortsighted.
If all the players thought they could still win it and truely believed in it, then we'd be halfway there. I dont believe in this 'realism' stuff a lot of people keep harping on about here, we cannot predict the future and anything is possible. It's all in the head and always comparing us to what other teams are doing won't help. As Rafa said, we've just got to plough on and concentrate on ourselves and see where it takes us.
There will always be half-full and half-empty humans from all walks of life, some just prefer one and some the other.
