We can still do it lads

We still have Chelsea and Man U to play @ home and they will surely drop points against other teams as well, we're 8 off chelsea although they have a game in hand, long way to go but we're more than capable of going on a lengthy unbeaten run, if we can mange to stay within 5/6 points of Man U an Chelsea we can fukcing do it.
    COME ON YOU REDS

I can't see us winning the league and it's doubtful that the chavs and the mancs will drop so many points between now and the end of the season for us to catch them. I'll gladly take 3rd because lets face it we never looked like getting that 2 months ago.

Realistically 1st is out of reach, but who's to say 2nd isn't...

The chavs will beat the blue****e tomorrow and be 11 points ahead of us again. You're absolutely right when you say that it's still possible because mathematically it is but realistically it isn't. 3rd is good and I'll be happy with that.

I'm usually a glass half empty man myself but i''ve been really impressed with use in the past few weeks and particulary the new boys, Bellamy's looking good, really good, Gonzalez is looking sharp and looking that skillful,
pacy player we all heard about before, even Pennant looks confident.
Gerrard's starting to pull thw strings again and is scoring and Xabi is getting his passing range.

Like i say if we can stay in touch with the top 2 we always have a chance but yes it wuldn take a massive effort to actually win it.

I love Liverpool more than anything and I would love to see them come 1st or 2nd but let's get something straight... it was Charlton!!! We've been beating teams that are way below us in terms of quality. The teams which are harder we've been failing against. We couldn't even beat Portsmouth!

Yeah and it was also Sheffield Utd in the opening day when we were utter ****e and luckily got a point from a dodgy penalty decision.
Bit a cliche i know but 'you can only beat what is put in front of you'.

You can't please everyone sometimes, important thing is we're playing with confidence now, as a team, playing good football and taking SOME of our chances.

You think we can't? Remedial maths for you

Look, it's possible, stranger things have happened but unfortunately we are guilty of getting a LITTLE bit carried away. A few weeks ago we had 1 point away from home.
IF we can show the form we showed today with the movement and the passing against better teams and improve our finishing then why not? But there's a long way to go before I'll start getting excited.

Why can't we just enjoy a great performance and another 3 points without this "boom bust" approach to our season. We're not going to win the league because of another 3 points and Rafa doesn't deserve to get fired if we lose.

Keep writing us and our players off, it seems to do wonders for them

The league would take something very special now, it's not impossible but I think we'd need to see Man Utd dip in form soon. Rafa is right to say we should just look to win each game as it comes at the moment, because I think he knows it is not impossible that we could be back in contention in a couple of months, but at the same time it would be deflating for the players to be aiming for that only for Man Utd to continue to win.

Come late Jan/Feb we'll have a good idea of what is achievable. Let's not forget we're more than capable of having long winning streaks in the league, we have got all the toughest away games out the way. Our home form remains worthy of champions, and our away form has picked up comething sexual.
