Realistically and optimistically, ONE of the top two might POSSIBLY have a collapse and we MIGHT go on a long winning run...

So me could, if many things go our way, end up 2nd.

        There.

                  And theres the point

well have to win pretty much EVERY game to win the league

were looking at a max of 91 - so ok i'll relax the above statement to let us drop 6 points in the next 20 games to be in the shake up with 85 points

but thats still 18 wins in 20

if we were to win ALL our league games up to the end of january then id start to agree with the thread starter - wed be in the shakeup.

in truth, were 50-1 and i think thats stingy - id put us 100-1 or outside to do the above. i actually think well have dropped at least that 6 points by the derby.

i believe we have a chance to catch the mancs because their squad is a little thin and britttle. i think theres very little chance well overhaul the russian gangster's subbuteo team over that length. whatever i think about the people theyre an exceptional team - quite possibly the strongest EVER top division squad the english league has seen. I think theyll be (deserved) champions agin with a little to spare.

I dont believe the current lfc squad is yet worthy of winning the title if i'm honest - but equally, i dont think were that far away. We have the manager, we have enough "squad" standard players to fill out the full squad, we have some young players who may blossom into the kind of player we had in the 70's and 80's but what we lack is 3-4 world class performers to make our best 11 formidable as chelseas's or barcelonas is.

who knows, maybe by august, well have it

Or both might, it is entirely possible, just as realistic, whether you agree with it or not.

I have this so many times, but it seems the misery bunch don't have the mental aptitude to comprehend but............................... PESSIMISM IS NOT THE SAME AS REALISM. To make you happy though, pessimisitc people die younger, but you knew that already didn't you.

Why bother Matt. Dunk's lackey has a very simple modus operandi. Post deliberately stupid things in order to fish for as many responses as possible. Sad I know, I'm sure there is a name for that condition, any guesses?

I have to say, watching MOTD2 the Chavs are not the same team without Gallas and are a shadow of their former self without Terry.

Everytime the ball went into the box they looked vulnerable. OK they won today but if they defend like this they'll certainly drop points.
As for the SCUM, I think their squad is a bit weak and a couple of injuries/suspensions and they're struggling.
