Digger free kick against Arsenal (John Lukic) I think, late eighties. Kenny scored an absolute pearler of a curler against Ipswich at Portman road nearly straight from a corner must have been about 84 ish.
More recently Riise against Man U, Gerard against Man U and Fowler same game. Obviously Garcia against Chelsea twice and Vladi in the Final just cos he came good in the end.
Owen in the cup final 01.
All Five against forest in 87 or 88 .

The point is you cant pinpoint one classic goal, as we have so many cherished goals, but they can all make you feel good, nice thread.

    5 goals (target 15)

    3 assists also........

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I dont understand the McDermott goal. It's good dont get me wrong, but it's the 7th against a demoralised shambles. Arsenal and united score goals like that each week these days (Arsenal smart interchange, united rapid counters and a smart finish at the end).

Can someone correct me and tell me why this is so good.

And that MacDermott one was in 1978. You really aren't a Liverpool fan are you Speedy?

what about king luis against juve?

fowler against villa, got the diving header and then backed off the defender chest and volley top corner. beautiful

i love the one against arsenal where kenny lets the ball run behind his body, steps inside the next defender and hits a wicked left foot curler into the top corner

Some great suggestions so far folks

There's sooooo many to choose from but one that always sticks in my head was when the King scored a beautiful goal ( he lobbed the keeper from the edge of the box) against Chelsea at the bridge to win us the league. I honestly can't remember the exact year but I can still see that trademark KK smile as wide as the mersey as he ran off to celebrate.

                    King Kenny

Certainly, my favourite goal since I've been around - Fowler v Man U at Old Trafford, 2-2, Cantona's *spit* comeback. Robbie skinned Neville and smashed it past Schmiecael who landed on his arse. Brilliant stuff.
