The only player we might sign in January is Neill.

I think you're right Red mate. January is a very hard window to buy in even if you have the dosh. i doubt there will be many big money moves by any club.

I agree. Neill would provide some much-needed depth at RB. Other than that, I don't see any sense in bringing in more players. Gonzalez and Bellamy are just settling in, and Aurelio is just coming back from injury. I certainly don't see why we need any more left-sided players, and I don't think we have the money to pick up a tremendous right winger in January.

I'd love to see where this rumored 25 million would come from to sign Villa. Anyway, I'm a bit wary right now of strikers from Spain. Morientes didn't do much for us, Luque isn't getting it done for Newcastle; meanwhile, Fredi Kanoute's gone to Sevilla and is suddenly a goalscoring machine. Something just doesn't compute.

Might as well stay put, give the team more time to settle, and then concentrate on perhaps two major signings over the summer.

Looks like he needs to stay off that Argy meat for a bit. Seems like a bit of a troffer.

                            To be totally honest.
I wouldnt want us spending £25m on villa if it meant getting rid of crouch. Crouchs Goal return has been great, and he offers something nobody else in the squad offers, another outlet with his height. both bellers and Kuyt are capeable of doing what villa does. I think the money would be spent better else where, rather on a stiriker who may not adapt to the Premier League and doesnt even like england.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
