I don't think the need for pace up front is as important as it was last year as we can now play Gonzales, Pennant and Gerrard in the same midfield who all have decent pace and mean people should be able to join attacks much more quickly.

Kuyt seems reasonably pacy, nothing special but no slouch. I think his type of player would be ideal. Besides I'm all for ugly looking players of immense talent.
