      You are right, it's wierd
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Its about chances. Bellamy has only ever had the chance to play for **** teams and just had to fit in to them. Owen has only had us playing to his stregths hasnt he? If every team played to one persons stregths then they'd look super great wouldnt they? If we focused soley on playing to Bellamy, he'd score a load but as we saw with Owen, your game plan goes out the window if he'd marked out the game. I thank you.

When he played for Real he often played on the right and still scored a lot of goals. I really can't say that Real built the team around him but I understand your point.

True, but he can beat players with the ball at his feet and create for others. Owen is the better player I would say, but is he that much better that we would want to sign him now that we have Bellamy rather than concentrate on getting more complimentary players? I don't think so tbh.

Sorry mate but I disagree. You surely cannot be trumpetting Bellamy as a better all round player than Owen?

I realise that you didn't like the way that you think Owen behaved before he went to Madrid but it would appear that this is clouding your normally sound judgment.

Michael Owen is a world class player. He has done it all levels. Bellamy is not. Your comment that Bellamy has only ever played for **** teams is perhaps because he has only been good enough to play for **** teams! If we had more money at the last transfer window, do you think we would have still signed Bellamy?

We may have to agree to disagree on this one!

Give him six months after he starts playing again and then we will be able to see if he will be 100% again. If he then plays **** football then he isn't good enough anymore.

sami hyypia could quite comfortably mark Owen out of the game with his pace these days

At this stage, Bellamy offers more then Owen (when fit of course, as my dead nan is about as useful as Owen right now). No doubting that 4/5 years ago, Owen was one of the worlds greats put he seems to have pressed his own self distruct button. The fact that Owen is at Newcastle kinda shows he is on the slide. Why was no one else in for him? He chose not to come here, yet he mustve known playing for Newcastle wouldnt get him anything like what he couldve got bys tayin at Madrid for another year, or biting the bullet and coming here.

To be fair to Bellamy, he probably only played for **** teams since he is a **** and acted accordingly. But youre right about the money issue, but that same arguement could apply to near enough half the team. We can only go with what we've got and for the money, Bellers is much better value now. For me, right now Owen is Like Fowler, (sadly) living on past glories.

Did Madrid play to his strengths too?
