      Who knows?

Steadman have said that he won't have any problems with his knee. It's the foot injury that could be the problem.

He will need at least half a season until he will be back 100% again IMO and he will get injured a few times during the first year because he will have been out for around 18 months when starts playing again.

We will get the answer in 2008 if he is back 100% again, not before then IMO.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

        Another myth.

Owen scored more often for us than Robbie.

You can check out the facts if you want.

A fit Owen is one of the best strikers in the World and that is probably why Rafa wanted him back before he got injured.

I agree but i dont think he would score many for us against deep lying defenses which is most games these days.

He scored most goals/minute in La Liga for Real and they more or less always played against deep lying defences.

            Just for the record.

I don't want him back. We need a better and more fit player than him.

Real play the ball around a damn site more quickly and precisely than us and they have more time on the ball, at least they did then, we have only one player who can pick quick accurate short through balls and thats Xabi and he is mostly to deep to do so. We would need a playmaker behind Michael which we simply will not find a place for and the time needed isnt there in the Prem.

Who knows really, seeing as none of us on here actually knows either of them?! Owen allegedly has gambling problems, is that what you'd want in your family?

DJ you waste far too much time on hypotheses & 'ifs & buts', which is why half your threads just end up going round in circles and never really getting anywhere. And you can't pick and choose which facts you ignore/don't ignore. Sure Owen scores goals, but he's also injured a hell of a lot (and is injured now which is a fact), costs a lot of £££ and will he ever be close to the same player he was at his peak?

His obsession with Michael Owen is really quite worrying isn't it?
                      Move on Syd, move on.

No need to mention LF Clove here either...

My point was that i dont really care about their personalities, as it's largely irrelevant.

All those facts on Owen are true. Yet, he'd still be an asset to us.

Kinda emphasises the woe a bit.

Do you want to try and explain that?

How on earth could he be an asset when he's injured all the time. You ask the Newcastle fans if they're happy with the value they've had from their 16 million pound investment.

Whether you like it or not, rafa not signing Owen is one of the biggest lucky escapes LFC has ever had, up there with the "Bowyer non-transfer".

He's not 'injured all the time' though, that's just a daft exaggeration.

He's injured now but he wont be forever. He would provide what we need, someone who can finish and score goals, and would probably be the best available option come summer 2007.
