Saying at the start of the season that we were the team to dethrone Chelsea. I believe this has cursed the squad. Too much pressure on us at the start of the season. Instead of being able to sneak up in the background some papers were tipping us to hit 100 points. I want us to be completely written off at the start of next season, maybe even tipped for relegation. That way i think we'll mount a genuine challenge to the big 2.

I don't think it cursed the squad by putting pressure on them. I just think the pundits had it wrong from the get go. There is no way on Earth that this squad is good enough to challenge for the title. I can't think who they felt we had brought in pre season that were title winning signings.

I think you maybe right, all the media attention seemed to have put a curse on us. I wish they left us alone and hyped up the Mancs or the Arse and let us go about it quietly.

Its ze yellow shirts... they're a curse. The last time ze reds endured a miserable season was Rafa's first. And ze away kit was yellow that season. Yes I know they don't get worn every week, but they're a curse. A damn curse. But I won't let ze yellow shirts compensate for ze ****ness of Peter Crouch. 5th puts rafa's job in question if previous statements from the board are to believede. didn't moores say that 4th was never our aim but the minimum acceptable. if someone fails the minimum acceptable what happens to them? with ged it was met with a sacking.

maybe the minimum acceptable has dropped lower since ged's sacking? though if so, for what reason?
