You could add the trip to those absolutely horrible *******s Stoke to that list. Not too many teams will get anything thereOriginally posted by Alex View PostWell we have City away in a couple of weeks and then thats all the big boys away I think.
Arsenal, Man Utd, Chelsea, Spurs, Man City and Everton away all done before the end of November. Thats got to be helpful for the last half of the season.

It's also vital that we sort out our home form which has been nowhere near good enough in recent times, before and with Klopp so far.Originally posted by kubrickscube View PostThink the key to our success is keeping the goals coming by keeping / getting Benteke and Sturridge fit. And Lallana, Cout and Firmino need to chip in their fair share. We certainly seem more solid at the back.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I'm not sure that Benteke is going to be a sicknote, and he's already shown that he can be a handful for anyone. The issue is that a fit Sturridge is probably our best possible striker at the moment. I think the big issue is that we can't make a consistent plan at the moment and if we go all out setting the team up for Big Chris, is Sturridge going to be happy in a supporting role while he convinces everyone that he is over his injuries.Originally posted by fah-q View PostIf we had a striker of the robustness and skill of Suarez then I'd say we could make a charge for the title. Realistically, I think our Achilles heel will the inability of our strikers to stay fit for long enough.Akloppalypse Now !

I think we will struggle to challenge this year for the boring reason that we have one striker who is usually fit and its Origi. If Benteke has a good fitness run then we should be there or there abouts for the top 3/4.Originally posted by Alex View PostI think we have a very good chance of getting Champions League place. But winning is probably a couple of steps too far.But next year with a couple of transfer windows behind him and a full Pre Season, I cant see why we couldn't challenge.
Did you notice as soon as we got Klopp onboard, the calibre of players linked to us improved? Didnt think of it under Rodgers, but obviously reputation carries a fair bit of clout with regards to getting a foot in the door.
We will have to wait and see with respect to recruitment. I'm not sure it will be a huge factor, but it could help sway a few marginal calls from players. The levels of links thing I believe to be a mirage - is Keissling really a higher calibre player than Benteke or Firmino? We have been consistently linked over the last few years with all of the second rank of players across Europe (unless they are owned by Chelsea post-Sturridge)."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."
