4 points doesn't seem alot but it's also the fact that there are 4 teams between us and 4th spot at the moment, so we aren't relying on just one team to slip up we are looking for all 4 to.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

To be honest it isn't so much the fact of the four teams but that there are 4 teams above us that are of comparable quality or better than us at the minute (no matter how dull United are) and that is discounting Chelsea.

Spurs look a really good unit this season. I think Arsenal and City will fight for the title (unless injuries break Arsenal around Christmas).

Are we actually better at home?

I think playing Chelsea while they were **** at Stamford Bridge is a boon, for the rest I feel the fixture ordering has little impact.

I think we can and should catch and pass West Ham, Leicester and albeit harder Southampton over the course of the season. Spurs look a decent side and although the Mancs are dull and not playing that well they do seem to be grinding out the results.

Top 4 for me is more than possible with the caveat of injuries, ours need to improve and have either or of Benteke and Sturridge to call upon for most of it and some key players for both Spurs and the Mancs to miss a number of games.

Obviously we all want a top 4 finish but there isn't the pressure this season of it being essential which if we can get in about the top 4 come the end of the seaosn others may feel the pressure a little more than Klopp I.e. LVG

Looks like he's giving credit to Brendan for his work.

Rodgers did a good job up to a point. The worry was he couldn't add the finishing touch. His team had lost confidence as they thought that whenever they conceded it was game over. He tried to address it by going tight at the start of the season, but the wheels fell off spectacularly and knocked us right back.

Rodgers out thought himself, sometimes people insist in making a simple game complicated. Wenger is another one prone to this albeit at a higher level. The best managers know how to inject just enough solid blackboard theory into the heart and soul of playing the game.

It helps that he's a very good communicator. I think that's his forté, especially his positive outlook on life.

Slightly off topic...Is his name really "Jürgen Norbert Klopp"?

For some reasons German names sound really funny phonetically, which goes against the perception that they have no sense of humour (or maybe reinforces it, I dunno). Our names probably sound just as funny to a german, but the amount of our swear words that they casually use as names is amazing. Best name I have seen is Helmut Wankmuller. Such an interesting language in terms of sounds, I wish I had more skills in being able to learn it, but alas I am useless.

It seems strange thinking back to growing up back in the 80s, probably due to the wars in the previous century, but this rivalry that we still seem to harbour with Germany, and seeing them as the old enemy just seems a bit antiquated, if not a downright embarrassing these days. To me Germany generally seems to be close to the model of western civilised society, and the few people I have met from Germany have all been really nice. We seem to have much more in common with Germany than say France, and in many ways USA.

I know in the past our team has taken its nod from the manager, and had a French and even greater Spanish feel to them, but I think a German cultural tinge is something I am most looking forward to.

Sorry if that seems a bit of a strange thing to come out with, but a few things I have read and heard (not on this site), I felt compelled to just say just how excited I am having Klopp here. It seems strange to me people still harbour nationalistic tendencies based upon events several generations before they were born. But they are out there.
