I'll never forget the fight where Michael Watson knocked Benn over, almost in slow motion.
    i remember watching that.

though the one that sticks in my mind was benn v Mclellan. (did i get the name right)

Gerald McClellan, yeah you near as dammit got it right

I missed that one but I've watched it back since. It was vicious. He was something else McClellan. I remember my old man telling me that I should have stayed in because it was the best fight he'd ever seen.

Shaggy is clearly too wasted to post his reaction

Whats pointless about debating between era's???? Its interesting, OK nothing can be proven but its nice to hear different views nonetheless.

He was a bit of a slapper though wasn't he (in the boxing stakes). He had his fair share of boring fights too.

Hats off to Klitschko, he boxed his fight and won near on every round in his simple and effective manner.

Not the kind of boxing I enjoy but he did the job and it was very disappointing that Haye had no answer to his utterly predictable style, despite having had several months, or even years to think about and prepare for it.

All the trash talking seems silly now but I suppose it sold the fight and it was worth the money (£14.95) in the end.

Have to say that Haye just does not look big enough to be a genuine Heavyweight and should consider going back down a weight.

For Klitschko he has come out of this whole episode with a lot of credit and dare I say it some new fans.

It was the most exciting Klitschko fight I've ever seen

Just too big for him in the end. The broken toe was obviously genuine and would definitely have limited him, but I imagine he'd have been too big and strong for him anyway.

Klitschko's hand speed surprised me at times. Some of his one twos really were quick and made Hayes weaving and ducking look a bit pointless.

Wonder how the post fight PC will go after Vitali's and Hayes previous banter.

He hasn't won me as a fan. Other than a couple of heavy, emphatic shots, he was proven to be a big, boring, percentage boxer.

Broken toe? I remember Joe Calzaghe getting slated for a boring fight (Evans Ashira) and it turned out he had broken his hand in the third round. He just used one hand and still won a unanimous points decision.

                            Haye still wouldn't have won

Disappointed with Haye . stuck on end of jab. Work rate poor. Never got into it . Grudging respect for WK but he is a drama free zone

Haye-klitschko press conference in early hours was bizarre. Haye stood on table so photographers could take pictures of his broken toe
