Was that the one with the full 90 Minutes of the 5-0 Forest game?

:haha::haha: :handshake: me too, was lucky enough to have a season ticket for that season. Think it cost me(my parents) 130 for the Paddock.

Shaggy 31-10-18 04:07 PM

It really is a shoot out in the head-to-heads innit...

Norbs 31-10-18 11:41 PM

I've a nagging feeling we'll break the record for most points for a 2nd place team at season's end too

Unfortunatly that always seems the be the case when we put a good seasons performance in someone, breaks all kinds of records. We have no choice but to be out of this world good, consistent, its the only way we have any chance of winning the title. An a bright note it looks highly likely we will be in the Champions Lg 3 seasons on the bounce

That would be typical of our luck :sigh:

"The weaker are getting weaker" Loving the fact the scum are part of this :D

Things will be looking sweet if we get a good haul of points from out next 5. All our rivals are playing each other so dropped points for them are a given. Winning all 5 would be good because it includes the bitters :)

11/11 - Man City v Man Utd
24/11 - Spurs v Chelsea
02/12 - Arsenal v Spurs
05/12 - Man Utd v Arsenal
08/12 - Chelsea v Man City

Next up for us after that in United at home so would be good to be pushing 15 points clear of them going into Christmas!

Yep.

A highly sensible analysis. It will be interesting to see who will take points off City.

foresterbloke 04-11-18 02:14 AM

A few draws would be nice.

Kenneth 04-11-18 05:03 PM

They're going to walk it again.

Leyton388 04-11-18 05:28 PM

We are going to get our record points total this season and still won't win the league due to these cheating cunts.

Tenner says we don't get our record points.

Got a nagging feeling we will be fighting for 3rd 4th in the end. This goes against our current points haul and position, I have nothing to base it on apart from 'a feeling. Hope to fuck I'm just being over pessimestic.

Kenneth 04-11-18 06:40 PM

If Keita specifically, and Fabinio to some extent, had hit the ground running then I would be confident of a sustained title push, but that it looks like it will take more time for them to adjust makes me think that the league will slip away from us sooner rather than later. I think a late seaon push will get us back to second or third, and if we're still in the CL then, could see us do well in that. Obviously largely guesswork at this stage though.

Shaggy 04-11-18 07:35 PM

Yeah agreed we won't be overhauling City. They'll probably win it by 10 points or so. Not a lot you can do about them winning every game and battering nearly all of their opponents.

If we come 2nd with a significantly closed gap (on City from last season) then that has to be seen as more progression. I'm enjoying this, and I'm not gonna whinge off the back of our best start in the PL era.

rodo 04-11-18 08:03 PM

looks like a lot of teams have already wrote off playing city

I dunno.

If City lose to United next week (not impossible by any stretch) and we win (as we should), we're back in on top with Chelsea.

It's close. I think it'll stay that way.

But City are fucking annoying though.

Big-Red-Ed 04-11-18 09:19 PM

The annoying thing is and i am not the first to mention this is that all the other teams have effectively given up against city.

God knows how many titles utd won through teams taking the same approach, but it was quite a few. Fergie left, teams lost that sense of inevitably and they've been average since.

labourRed 04-11-18 09:44 PM

Yup, they clearly are a world class team but Bristol City showed they can be got at. Although they seemed to have moved on from playing Otermendi which is as good a move as fucking off Hart and getting Ederson in. They'll piss the league IMO.

rodo 04-11-18 09:54 PM

obnoxious cunts as well nowadays

Holy fuck. No wonder Van Dijk was desperate to leave. Imagine carrying that shower.

dom9 04-11-18 10:48 PM

labourRed 05-11-18 12:12 AM

Do they count shots on their own goal as well?

dom9 11-11-18 07:34 PM

The peloton is starting to stretch out now with clear points between the teams.

Good that some of the pack is dropping points. Good that we bagged ours. City are relentless. We need to be too.

Spurs v Chelsea in the next round of matches with Arsenal away to Bournemouth. We've a tough test against Watford but doubt they'll park the bus so could see us bag a few

Utd have a home banker, and it's almost irrelevant who city have to face

Norbs 11-11-18 07:41 PM

Just realised there's another fucking international break coming up. FFS

dom9 11-11-18 07:49 PM

Yeah, really annoying.

BigChief 11-11-18 08:00 PM

Might as well not have a PL campaign this season. Just have the Home Nations and the FA/Carabao cups. No wonder viewing figures are falling.

Assassin 11-11-18 08:02 PM

Just under a 1/3rd of the season gone

2nd place

2 points off the lead

6 points above 5th

10 points above the mancs

We haven't really got into our swagger yet. Happy days

With nearly a third of our squad not playing that well too -

Keita, Fabinho, Mane, Firmino and TAA.

Buzzo 12-11-18 02:03 AM

After 12 games 17/18. City had such a big lead they could play without feeling any pressure. We are right behind them this season.

Quote:

Manchester City: 34 pts
Manchester United: 26 pts
Chelsea: 25 pts
Tottenham Hotspur: 23 pts
Liverpool: 22 pts

And as well as City are playing, they are slightly behind where they were this time last season whereas the challengers (Us, and Chelsea) this season are stronger than last.

Long long way to go yet, but is looking more and more like City will have a proper fight on their hands this season rather than them keeping the rest at a safe distance for most of the season.

fah-q 12-11-18 11:50 AM

We need to stay on their tails and put pressure on them to make mistakes.
