This is it!

Four points dropped in our last two games, assuming City keep winning, we can only afford one more draw and I'm hoping we can save that for Spurs or Utd!

Also, my head is wrecked. I'm losing my bottle as the season wears on.

Better than being a blue though!

*should* be the ideal opponent, they are beyond pathetic away from home and tragic defensively, they’ll probably fancy scoring after seeing our defending lately but we really should be back to our goal scoring ways v this nothing club. We have to really as it’s Utd away next league game which is nearly a write off every season given the way it’s officiated.

Hope Trent is back.

Yozza 05-02-19 07:15 PM

Didn’t this lot just beat Chelsea 4-0?

Hopefully that was a blip....

BobTheCharmer 05-02-19 07:54 PM

When is Trent back? Another minor injury that will go on and on.

rodo 05-02-19 08:32 PM

Manchester`s finest has been appointed as the ref

It's Bournemouth at home. Ref should be irrelevant. We got a massive decision in our favour yesterday, in fact two howlers if you count the last chance. Salah first at Bournemouth wouldn't have happened with VAR.

It's when we play Utd the ref becomes critical.

frank the tank 05-02-19 09:31 PM

Spank this lot and then we have 10 days before Munich at home. Hopefully in those days, klopp gets some of the troops in good shape, no more two-bob-bits, and perhaps some team bonding maybe next Thursday or Friday night. Couple of beers, a few hookers and maybe a Dominos pizza two for one deal.

Sus 05-02-19 10:59 PM

I want to play in your football teams, Frank

Forester mate, its time you made your match threads properly so as to give us the full measure of power. Add in the Adelaide/Darwin times!

Bascombe says he isn't expected to be fit for Bournemouth. But as with most injuries at the club there isn't any details.

If the title rests in the hands of Fosterbloke we truly are doomed.

They lost to Cardiff in their next game.

Their form since the start of Novemeber is awful in the league.

15 games - 4 wins, 1 draw, 10 losses.

Their away form in the league this year is played 12, won 3, lost 9.

frank the tank 06-02-19 03:50 PM

hope to fuck we spank them.....

A win is critical but a big fuck off win - a 4-0 or above - will give us our fuckin mojo back.

Nervous as fuck for this - and it's only fuckn Wednesday!!!

danperkins 06-02-19 04:25 PM

This will be the 3rd mid table side on the bounce, drew with other two and played shit in both. These teams can play with less pressure and bit more freedom whereas we are nervy and apprehensive.... nobody wants to try things incase they make a mistake so it's give the ball to someone else to try do something. Mane is the only one that seems to be trying to make things happen lately, others need to get the finger out and take some responsibility.

I would have had Leicester, West Ham and Bournemouth as a banker 9 points a month ago but fuck knows now. Sit deep, be compact and counter seems to be the name of the game vs Liverpool. Give us possession, mark our front 3 tight and nobody else does anything so we are not creating. I hope the atmosphere is bouncing, line the streets, get the flares out get the lads going.. enough of this lethargic shite go out and blitz these fuckers, stop the rot and make a statement that will put to bed this pressure narrative .... well that or fuck up and prove Sky and the media correct.

Amen to that. We’ve got to get back to winning ways to halt the slide. :handshake:

Pablo 08-02-19 10:14 AM

Announcing a really strong line up at 2pm tomorrow will be a massive boost. One big win here and we're 100% back on track. Come on Liverpool! EPL!

cream 08-02-19 11:03 AM

Playing before City will be better, playing after hasn't been good for either team.

But aren't we effectively now playing after them? They are a game ahead now.

Yeah, but both teams are playing this weekend so the focus will be on current games. next weekend will be a different matter though :handshake:

'Title race is getting exciting' - Klopp

“It is getting exciting now. I don’t think anyone thought we would be top of the league 12 points (clear)," Jurgen Klopp said, when asked about how he is feeling about the title race.

"Only chance to improve our position is by winning games.

Klopp on facing Bournemouth after playing in midweek:

“Last break helped us in some parts. We will deal with it. I know we will be ready with each fibre of our bodies."

Injury news: Alexander-Arnold back training;Lovren out; Wijnaldum fit

Jurgen Klopp says centre-back Joe Gomez's surgery on his broken leg went "really well" adding he is now "four to six" weeks before he can return to play.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jordan Henderson have both returned to training and came through without any issues.

Gigi Wijnaldum also trained as normal while Dejan Lovren is not fit.

Oxlade-Chamberlain recovery on track

Jurgen Klopp has confirmed injured midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who was added the Liverpool's Champions League squad list this week, should be fit if the Reds reach the semi-final stage of the competition.

The German is now waiting for the "green light" from medical staff to introduce the England international back into training sessions.

Oxlade-Chamberlain suffered knee ligament damage in April 2018.

Godmez being back for the CL quarters and last 8 or so league games would be really good.

A fully fit Gomez back for 8 league games would be massive.

Not impressed with Lovern still being out though. Matip is very prone to picking up a knock or illness so leaves us very light on the ground in terms of partners for VVD.

Matip to stay fit until the end of the season, and Gomez back for the final 8 league games would be a godsend.

PTP 08-02-19 05:13 PM

what is it with lovren and matip - pair of them take it in turns to miss go missing for 4 or 5 games

with Gomez looking he might be made of glass also, then we defo need another reliable centre back in

:handshake: Although I'm more bothered about the league the Bayern first leg doesn't really bear thinking about if Degsy doesn't recover and Matip gets one of his knocks. Fuck knows what we'd even do, Fabinho and Robbo maybe with Albie at left back. :haha::rock:

Screw that, go three at the back..... Trent, Fabinho and Robertson. :D

Milner, Henderson, Wijnaldum and Shaqiri playing in a diamond in the centre and the three amigos up front.

Norbs 08-02-19 07:12 PM

Aim to keep it to 0-0, stop them scoring an away goal

Can you play 2 goalies?

Edit. Actually I think Alisson on his own is better than having Mig loitering on one post
