with Gomez looking he might be made of glass also, then we defo need another reliable centre back in

Said the same in the Gomez thread after reading that article. Definitely need to address the fragility of the centre back cover next year.

Klopp said no guarantees Trent is going to play tomorrow as he's been out for 3 1/2 weeks.

So itd be between Milner, Fabinho Camacho & Hendo if he is out Id imagine?

Fabinho must play the holding role in midfield imo so thatd leave the other three

Fredo 08-02-19 10:41 PM

I think Trent will play.

Norbs 08-02-19 10:42 PM

Not like you to be contrary :crackoff:

Im hoping so too bud but looking at the possible replacements in case hes not rushed back. :handshake:

Liverpool 08-02-19 11:16 PM

-----------Becker
--TAA--Matip--VVD--Robertson
-------Fabinho---Gini
Salah------Keita-------Mane
-----------Firmino

SB 08-02-19 11:40 PM

I’d be tempted to rest Bobby & play Sturidge instead. But I suppose Bobby deserves the chance to redeem himself from the last matches performance.

:handshake: Stick with Keita and play Firmino through the middle.

Think Shaq needs to be a starter, he should be fresh enough too. Their missing Wilson, Brooks and Clyne... massive losses for them attacking and defensively.

Norbs 09-02-19 10:24 AM

I think he's a bit of a misfit so far. He's not disciplined or defensive enough as a midfielder and hasn't quite clicked enough to replace one of the front 3.

He'll remain as an impact sub if we're chasing a goal

Probably always going to be a squad player or off bench but he's positive, looks for forward passes and has great delivery. been missing all of them recently. But yeah think he'll be sub.

I don't get all the hate for Lallana. He's clearly a talented footballer but is too slow for this team but as above he's positive and Klopp loves him. Feel a bit for him tbh, he's been very unlucky with injuries since day one at LFC but I still think he'll have an important role to play in this league fight.

Played well the other night. If we want to be a top club he is the Cali we of replacement we need - look at Citys bench last week FFS. Lallana just needs to stay fit.

If we want to be a top club, we need squad players of a much higher calibre (Cali?) than Lallana. Offers next to nothing these days, even when hes on the pitch.

danperkins 09-02-19 01:02 PM

Lallana is a squad player but no use to use if he's injured most of the time.

danperkins 09-02-19 03:02 PM

Nice to have Gini back in starting 11, Trent and Hendo on bench. Shaq dropped or injured? Keita gets another start, could be game to make a mark.

Fredo 09-02-19 03:02 PM

Liverpool: Alisson, Milner, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Wijnaldum, Fabinho, Keita, Mane, Salah, Firmino.

Subs: Mignolet, Henderson, Sturridge, Lallana, Origi, Camacho, Alexander-Arnold.

Good side that. No surprise we've picked up yet another knock though!

Hope Trent gets on.

foresterbloke 09-02-19 03:06 PM

Decent team that is, let's do them 4-0 again please!

Jaco_Pastorious 09-02-19 03:44 PM

Good starting XI. Given our injuries etc it is about as strong as we could go.

Little suprised to see Shaqiri not make the bench, however we had plenty of quality starting and should have more than enough to get back to winning ways.

baitman 09-02-19 03:49 PM

Hopefully their new 19m striker has yet another stinker

@XS_11official out due to a slight abdominal strain.

15 mins in and no posts on the match. Uh-oh

Jaco_Pastorious 09-02-19 04:17 PM

No so much a bad start to the game as it is one that is a bit flat.

The crowd groaning when Keita fails to control a ball is not going to help the player.

Jaco_Pastorious 09-02-19 04:20 PM

Dangerous move there by Bournemouth. Slightly better cross could have had us in trouble

Bit huff and puff with little quality.
There's an intent to putting some pace into it from us, but more danger in the box from them in isolation so far.

Kenneth 09-02-19 04:22 PM

They've got passed Fabino a few times without too much effort which is a little worrying, but we are playing quite well in possession. A little more urgency would be nice.

danperkins 09-02-19 04:23 PM

Don't understand why we are so lethargic

Jaco_Pastorious 09-02-19 04:23 PM

YESSSSS

1-0

Mane with a header

Kenneth 09-02-19 04:24 PM

 scored from a cross

McDermotX 09-02-19 04:24 PM

Nice

Good time for it as well, before it drags on a bit.

dom9 09-02-19 04:25 PM

The crap corner follow up tactic works again.

foresterbloke 09-02-19 04:25 PM

Another offside goal

BigChief 09-02-19 04:27 PM

Let's hope it's third time lucky when Mane scores the first goal.

foresterbloke 09-02-19 04:27 PM

Keita is having a good game :)

dizzycat 09-02-19 04:27 PM

Good job Mane is on form
