Was obviously a great player. Remember reading in Gerrard's book how he never felt he could get anywhere near him.

Saying that, the last game he played against us showed how far he'd fallen. The worst performance I've ever seen from him. Think he's retired at the perfect time.

Neville, Scholes and Van Der Saar all gone this season. Giggs won't be too far behind. Big, big players. And Fergie can't hang in there forever.

granted he was a very good footballer, certainly the most 'technically gifted' english footballer - but no where near as good as he is being made out to be....for a start, he is not even man utd's best player of the last 20 years, which is clearly Ryan Giggs by a ****ing mile
